Tarik Skubal pitched around traffic in the first inning and proceeded to toss 5.2 innings allowing 2 earned runs. Riley Greene and the Detroit Tigers offense went to work early and often scoring 5 runs in the first two innings. Zach McKinstry hit the games only home run as the Detroit Tigers cruised to the win and clinched a series win. Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh Pirates will play the finale of the series in the second game of the double header later this evening as the Detroit Tigers eye the sweep.
