  • The Real Reason Your Back Still Hurts (and What No One’s Talking About)
    Nov 11 2025

Back pain is the leading cause of disability worldwide — and yet we’re still spending $50 billion a year on it without solving the problem. In this episode, Hannah (@made2movept) breaks down why the typical advice (perfect posture, endless adjustments, “don’t feel it in your back”) keeps us stuck in pain. She shares how our fear of back sensation has made us weaker, more fragile, and more likely to get hurt — and what actually needs to change if you want a strong, resilient back that can handle real life.

Full Guide (mentioned in the episode)

  • Athlete Nutrition Made Simple: How to Eat, Train, and Recover Smarter with Sports Dietitian Alaine Mills
    Oct 27 2025

In this episode, Hannah (@made2movept) sits down with sports dietitian Alaine Mills, MS, RD, CSSD to talk about what athletes get wrong about nutrition versus what actually drives performance. They cover the biggest surprises Alaine sees with her athletes: chronic under-fueling, carb fear, protein obsession, and how meal timing can make or break energy and recovery, along with practical strategies for fueling before, during, and after workouts, the 30–60g/hour carb rule for endurance athletes, and what to eat on game day. They also dig into youth athlete nutrition, injury recovery fueling, and how parents can help kids build healthy food relationships without labels or restriction.

  • Stop Icing It: The Real Fix for Tennis Elbow (a.k.a. Pickleball Elbow)
    Oct 13 2025

In this episode, Hannah (@made2movept) tackles “tennis elbow” (lateral elbow tendinopathy) through a real CrossFit/pickleball case—what it is, why rest/ice/sleeves feel good but don’t fix it, and how tendons actually get better with the right mechanical loading. She breaks down the overflowing-cup model (calm symptoms, then build capacity), pain guardrails (≤ 3–4/10 with a 24–48 hr check), and a simple progression from isometric wrist holds to eccentrics, carries, pressing, and a staged return to rowing, kipping, and pickleball. You’ll learn where dry needling fits (a window, not the solution), realistic timelines (weeks to feel better; months to remodel), and how to modify training so you can keep lifting and playing without flares.

  • Bone Density & The Weighted Vest Debate
    Sep 22 2025

In this episode, Hannah (@made2movept) dives into the rucking trend — walking with a weighted vest — and whether it really helps with bone density, muscle mass, and long-term health. She breaks down the science behind the hype, what studies actually show, and why strength and jump training still matter most for building stronger bones. You’ll learn how (and when) weighted vests can be helpful, what they can’t replace, and how to cut through social media myths to make the best call for your own health.

  • Hot Girl Cycle Club: How Kylie Built Charleston’s Traveling Spin Studio
    Sep 8 2025

What do dolphins, a 24-foot trailer called The Hog, and Charleston’s newest spin scene have in common? Kylie. In this week’s episode, I sat down with Kylie, founder of Hot Girl Cycle Club, to hear how she went from dolphin training to creating Charleston’s first traveling spin studio.

Kylie shares the grit and sacrifices of her Seaworld career, how cycling became her escape, and how she turned a financial setback into an opportunity. With no access to traditional funding, she hustled for investors, thrifted bikes from across state lines, and built her business from scratch. Today, Hot Girl Cycle Club is Charleston’s first fully mobile cycling studio, building community and confidence through pop-ups and collaborations with local businesses.

The conversation covers entrepreneurship, resilience, and redefining fitness. For Kylie, being a “hot girl” means owning your confidence, building community, and refusing to quit, even when the odds are stacked against you.

    Aug 11 2025

Back pain is one of the most common and most misunderstood health issues out there. In this episode, I sit down with Dr. James Eubanks, a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, to bust myths and explain why back pain is such a big problem today. • How to Return to Lifting Safely After Back Injuries
    Jul 28 2025

If you’ve ever been told you can’t deadlift again after a back injury — this episode is for you.

I break down why so many people get stuck in fear after a disc herniation, how back pain can take over your identity, and what it actually looks like to rebuild strength, confidence, and trust in your body. I talk about why disc herniations aren’t permanent, the real reason people stay in pain for years, and how to safely get back to deadlifting again — even if you’ve been avoiding it for months.

You’ll also hear the one rehab principle I use with every single patient and how I decide where to start based on both pain and strength.
