    On this episode of The Ink Table Podcast, the crew discusses initial reactions from Fabled, Lorcana’s 9th set release. Reprint discussion, how sealed went, and what inks the team is currently playing is discussed. We take a pulse check on the collector’s market looking at Iconic prices, and singles prices. Dylan shares his experience trading in bulk cards for some significant value. Custom cards are blindly ranked by Preston featuring what we hope will be the expansion of the Dumbo franchise in Lorcana.


    There’s an elephant in the room, being Dumbo, and the crew discusses the current presence of Amethyst and Steel decks in the competitive landscape. Will card bans be issued? What do we think the counter to the most prominent decks will be? Lastly, we explore Whispers in The Well product updates and the introduction of a new “boost” mechanic coming to Whisper Glimmers.   • Episode 14: "Prologue"

    At Gen Con 2025 during the Lorcana 2nd Anniversary panel, Winterspell was announced as the 11th set, winter themed with the introduction of the Stitch Series including Angel coming early 2026. The reveals go further as an unnamed set 12 in 2026 will introduce Toy Story to Lorcana, the first Pixar franchise. Lastly, Ravensburger being the puzzle coming it is, Lorcana puzzles for each ink will be available with your favorite Lorcana art and promo cards inside.

  • Episode 11: "Heist of the Century"

    In this episode of The Ink Table, Illumineers Preston, Dylan and producer/fellow Illumineer John discuss the Reign of Jafar launch weekend festivities, including their experiences at sealed event and discussing their MVP cards. The 2025 Lorcana World Championship is around the corner, which brings two new formats to the competitive landscape, join the team as they discuss Super Sealed and Triple Constructed formats. Reign of Jafar also allows us to play card combos that may never return to Lorcana, more of these “last chance” combos are discussed in this episode. While we are reclaiming the Hexwell crown, Fabled is on the horizon with new accessories and physical products revealed, with enchanted reveals already occurring!


    Lastly, we discuss the future of Disney Lorcana, and where the story might be heading with the recent developments of Reign of Jafar, and upcoming sets, Fabled and Whispers in the Well.

  • Episode 10: "The Next Chapter"

    In this episode of The Ink Table, Illumineers Preston and Dylan discuss the news shared in the most notable update broadcast from the Lorcana team. Not only do we have a confirmed date for the Lorcana World Championship at Disney World, but it will be closed to the public. Dylan and Preston begin navigating through the news shared as it relates to Reign of Jafar, Lorcana's 9th set coming May 30th. The promo cards and Jafar Set Championship cards are revealed, while analyzing the card abilities, we are also joined by some new critters along the way.


    Set rotations are coming to Disney Lorcana with the release of the 9th set, Fabled. The team explores the specifics around this set rotation and why they happen in nearly all TCGs. Fabled also contains some fun changes to card rarities, including the addition of two new rarities, Epic and Iconic, which are destined to be a great addition to any collection. New franchises are coming to the world of Lorcana, including the Goofy movie. Lorcana's 10th set is revealed, Whisper in the Well, which introduced Gargoyles and Black Cauldron to Lorcana.


    Lastly, we discuss some discoveries around new card tags, the Palace Heist co-op game coming in Reign of Jafar, and the lore around this set with the continuation of lore cards in Lorcana's 8th set. (edited)

  • Episode 9: "We All Goof"

    In this episode of The Ink Table podcast, we discussed Lorcana's FIRST ever card bans since the game was released in 2022. Hiram Flavorsham - Toymaker and Fortisphere have been banned from Core Constructed formats. What is the reasoning behind these bans? Dylan and Preston explore Ravensburger's reasoning including some highlights from a Q&A and open letter with Steve Warner, co-design lead of Disney Lorcana. Also discussed are impacts the bans have to other decks and strategies in the game.


    Later in the episode, Dylan discusses a deck that he and Rebekah discussed in the last episode, support decks. In some other updates, the team discuss the new documentary "Not Just a Goof", D23 celebrations and theater screenings of A Goofy Movie, updates to the D23 promotional Iago (spoiler, where is it at?!) and the D23 raffle for the D23 Convention Promo cards.
