The Kalix Legacy Foundation was created to honour Kalix Langenau’s dream of helping out financially challenged families cover the cost of program and training fees, as well as equipment costs, so that every child has the same opportunity that he had to participate in all sports programs offered right here in Airdrie. We also provide funding for kids who have lost a parent or sibling, because we know first hand about the mental and financial hardships faced during such unfortunate times.
The Legacy Foundation is a not-for–profit organization that is run by friends and family of Kalix Langenau.
The boys from the Broadcast are very proud to honor this young man with his patch on our jerseys throughout all our international tournaments and are proud to represent what he stood for in life and the game of hockey.
