  • No, I Don’t Need RSO!
    May 15 2025

Breast cancer isn’t a personality trait, and THC isn’t a cure-all. In this episode, your host Sian dives headfirst into the absurdities of modern healthcare, post-biopsy chaos, and the unsolicited nonsense cancer patients get served daily — especially from the cannabis crowd.

From paper cups as surgical gear to radioactive nipple injections (yes, really), this is a true tale of survival with logic, not lore. Expect sharp wit, hard facts, and a firm but fair slap for every stranger in the DMs shouting “Try RSO!” without knowing the first thing about HER2 negatives, aromatase, or reality.

Cannabis isn’t a religion. And this? This is your sermon in sarcasm.

  • Terpenes, Lies & Aromatic Nonsense
    May 14 2025

Buckle up for a nose-first dive into the pungent world of terpenes — the aromatic compounds hijacked by wellness warriors and butchered in clinical trials.

In this episode of The Never-Ending Carousel of Cannabis Nonsense, we unpick the facts from the fluff: what terpenes are, what they do, where else they’re found, and why using them as a placebo is scientifically ridiculous.

Expect sarcasm, truth bombs, and a magnifying glass over the nonsense. If it smells fishy, it probably wasn’t a placebo.

  • Interviewee Brief
    May 13 2025

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we sigh, and sometimes we scream into the void (politely). Whether you're a seasoned insider or a weary observer, we want your voice, your wit, and your hard-won truths.

    The Feel of the Show

Our tone is humorous, eye-rolling, factual, and just a little bit spiky.

We call out where the sector falls flat, spins fiction, or forgets its purpose entirely.

    Think: less cheerleading, more side-eye.

It’s cannabis commentary with a raised eyebrow and a sharp tongue.

What We Need You to Prepare

Before we record, please bring the following to the table:

    1. Your Gripe
      1. What’s winding you up in the cannabis sector right now?
      2. A practice, a policy, a person, a pitfall—your call.
    2. The Root Cause
      1. What’s driving it?
      2. Bad science?
      3. Worse marketing?
      4. Bureaucracy gone rogue?
      5. Activists running before they can walk?
    3. Your Fantasy Fix
      1. In a perfect world where you hold all the cards, how would you put it right?

We’re not looking for perfect answers—we’re looking for honesty, insight, and a bit of bite.

    Recording Your Audio

We’ll record the interview via Teams, but to get that lovely, clean audio for the final edit, you’ll also record yourself separately on your smartphone. You don’t need any other equipment other than the smartphone and its built in microphone.

It’s simple, and the result will sound more “thoughtful conversation” and less “budget hostage video.”

    Why We Do It

Dual recording means better audio quality. We each record our own end, then we stitch them together at Carousel HQ.

    You’ll Need:

    • A smartphone with a voice recording app
      • iPhone: Voice Memos
      • Android: Voice Recorder (or similar)
    • A quiet space (soft furnishings help—blankets beat bare walls), saying that - we have the technology to get rid of background noises and occasional cars and sirens!

    How to Record:

    • Before We Start:
      • Open your recording app, hit record just before we begin, and let it run the whole time.
      • Make sure your phone is
        • close,
        • stable,
        • charged (5% battery won’t cut this one!)
        • and not buried under a pile of papers.
    • During the Interview:
      • Don’t touch the mic.
      • We’ll record straight through and the editing will be done afterwards - and that’s our turn to do the magic.
    • After the Interview:
      • Stop the recording, save it with a clear filename (e.g. JaneGreenhouse_NECCN),
      • and email it to sianphillipsconsultancy@gmail.com
      • Please don’t compress it or send it via WhatsApp—raw audio only, please.

    Quick Tips:

    • Put your phone on Do Not Disturb so your mate doesn’t ring mid-rant.
    • Test the recording with a 10-second clip beforehand.
    • Aim for “cosy cave,” not “echo chamber”—a bedroom is ideal, a tiled kitchen is not.

    That’s it!

  • What's that funny smell?
    May 12 2025

Ever walked past someone and thought, “What is that funny smell?”

Chances are, it was cannabis. In this episode of The Never-Ending Carousel of Cannabis Nonsense, host Sian unpacks the truth about cannabis and hemp — what they are, how they’re different, what the law says in the UK, and why so many people have strong opinions about them.

A clear, calm, and age-appropriate guide for young teens who want facts without the drama.

  • The Real Mockery
    May 12 2025

In this opening episode, Sian Phillips pulls no punches as she dismantles the tired narrative that private medical cannabis clinics are “exploiting the system.” With sharp wit and cutting commentary, she redirects the spotlight back onto the real scandal: six years after medical cannabis was legalised in the UK, the NHS still isn’t prescribing it in any meaningful way.

Brace yourself – this isn’t about exploitation. It’s about survival.

  • Smells Like Injustice: Drug Driving, Cannabis Patients & Police Liability
    May 12 2025

In this urgent episode of The Never-Ending Carousel of Cannabis Nonsense, host Sian Phillips speaks directly to UK police officers, constabularies, and training leads.

With legal medicinal cannabis use on the rise, forces are increasingly facing lawsuits for wrongful arrests — simply because officers have not been properly trained on the legal protections of cannabis patients.

This episode breaks down Section 5(c) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, explains why smell and THC presence are not enough to justify arrest, and issues a clear warning: arresting a lawful patient without signs of impairment is unlawful — and actionable in court.

In this episode of The Never-Ending Carousel of Cannabis Nonsense, Sian takes a light-hearted but sharply insightful ride through the baffling, bureaucratic, and bizarre world of becoming a legal cannabis patient.
