A jam-packed show following week 4 of college football. We recap the weekend that was, and also revisit one of our preseason shows where we wondered how the storylines would go after the first four weeks of the season. Some storylines have moved more to the forefront.

Also, we touch back on the merger of two D-1 schools. The ACC is pondering the future of their schedules to match the other power 4. Also, some officiating issues warranted to conference comment and one school got a fine for violating a rule in their game.

  • 36: College Football Week 4 Preview, and what makes NIL "Illegitimate"?
    Sep 19 2025

    Send us a text

We are already at week 4, and there are some match-ups that will steer a team's fate one way or the other. Some teams are looking for revenge, others for redemption or redirection.

Elsewhere in college sports we have another AD sending not so coded language about NIL deals.

Two colleges are merging but keeping their athletics separate (huh?).

The Ivy League makes a statement about opting out of House.

College Basketball top recruits are reluctant to commit to any schools right now, it's a numbers game.

And the spring portal is gone in football, details for the winter one are still being workshopped.

Bonus: I boldly decide to pronounce the Cal QB's full name.

Lot's to get to after an packed week 3 in College Football. The ACC has seen it's favorite laid low, it's middle tier teams get crushed out of conference, and some of the bottom teams grab wins. It's the upheaval that reminds us of the old Coastal Division.

Also on today's show; The College Sports Commission already reporting more errors. Men's Basketball is having a prop bet problem. One group of players have been found for violations, with another group under investigation.

The ACC replay transparency is receiving positive reaction, and it should.

Week 3 of College Football looks just as competitive as week 2, and I'm sure some surprises are in store this week as well. We go over the games we're focusing on.

Also: Suspension for on-field actions? Nope, not athletes this time.

Nick Saban is spouting off again, and we're not surprised, just disappointed.

We also discuss the 'Saving College Football' Commercial that's been airing recently.

Happy New NCAA Manual release to all who celebrate. The new 25-26 version is out, and yes it is slightly less dense than before.

We briefly discuss the FBS Oversight Committee presenting a single, 10-day transfer portal window to cut down on the offseason chaos. Will it go into effect, and hold up to the scrutiny?

Also, a coach wanted to teach his team a lesson by running them after a game, we'll share how that is a no-no according to the rules.

We then dive into the weekend that was in College Football. Week 2 had some surprises and some letdowns, we will talk about it all.

  • 32: Week 2 College Football Preview and The NCAA is Getting Sued....Again
    Sep 4 2025

They often say the weeks where the college football slate lacks in highly ranked contests produce some of the best games and twists. We happen to agree. We run down the match-ups we are most looking forward to this weekend.

For our Featured Rules Item: the NCAA is getting sued (again). This time over eligibility of 10 Vanderbilt athletes over not getting their full years of competition in. We breakdown the rules and regs they are challenging under antitrust law.

Also, the NCAA released a memo (didn't you get it?), about speaking facts (as they see it) when it comes to the SCORE Act, we take a look and also discuss Cody Campbell's response.

Two prominent figures in college football are bringing up spending of programs' rosters this season, we discuss why they shouldn't.

In today's episode, we get right into the week 1 that was (minus the Monday Night game). What stood out, who showed out, and who went below expectations. We also take a look at a couple of rule applications, one murky and one clear as day.

Some big themes we saw; timid playcalling, low scoring, and of course, some bad game management. It's all here, let's talk about it.
