    Nov 20 2023

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • It’s important to give people a long runway, opportunities to fail, and safety to learn.
    • Consider that the successes you have are often because of the failures you have experienced along the way.
    • It can be beneficial to seek out parallel opportunities, use labs, and test environments. Allow people to make discoveries that happen in parallel with work or in spaces with no negative client impact.
    • A.I. in the data space is helping to reveal connections or implications that previously may have been missed in supporting or debunking assumptions; it provides a totally different lens to view the world.
    • The exponential growth in technology is leading to a labor shortage… we have to build this talent.

iVenture Solutions is an IT solutions service provider that drives resolution and inspires change by proactively resolving IT, cloud, and cybersecurity challenges. Under Gray’s 23 years of leadership, iVenture Solutions grew from a spare bedroom over two decades ago and transformed into a nationally acclaimed managed services provider, deeply committed to solving IT challenges with excellence. Through Gray's vision, the company is not only built upon delivering top-tier IT experiences but also thrives on fostering relationships with its over 200 employees, ensuring each workday is not just counted but deeply valued. Gray brings a wealth of expertise to iVenture, he's a University of Florida alum, with a degree in Telecommunications, actively engaging with the community through board service at the Young Presidents' Organization and supporting Footprints for Fight fundraising initiatives. But Gray is not all work; he is a dedicated family man who enjoys beach days with his wife and daughter, a mountaineer supporting noble causes, and an aviation enthusiast with a private pilot license.

  • Krystalynn Williams, LMFT - Founder & CEO of Krystal Clear Mind
    Nov 13 2023

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    • Self-care is not selfish. It makes us better so we can be better for others.
    • Just like in an airplane, we need to “put our masks on first”.
    • We receive communication based on our own experiences. Considering other’s perspectives can be helpful in bringing people into alignment, feeling heard, and improving relationships.
    • Asking what type of support our moms need can help to create a space for them to share their needs and be heard.
    • High-fives are not enough. Listening and asking questions will help bring clarity to the types of support moms need.

Krystalynn’s experience in providing mental health services to low-income families with children exhibiting at-risk behaviors helped shift her focus to the center of the family: the wellness of the mother (and parents). She believes the best way to offer quality love and care to others is to serve from a full cup. Krystalynn continues to serve her community by participating as a guest panelist/co-host for speaking engagements and often volunteering at community and faith-based groups. Krystalynn holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco; specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.

  • Gary Ross - President of Inside Comms & Communications Expert
    Oct 5 2023

    SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

    - The three golden rules of communication are:

    1. Everything communicates, even not communicating is communicating
    2. Know your audience. Know what motivates them and how they like to get their communication
    3. Engage the power of storytelling

    - Communication goes wrong when there is a misalignment between the tactics used to communicate the objective of the communication. Avoid going straight to the tactic of communication and think about it more strategically.

    - People need to know what you want them to know, feel, and do.

    - We can communicate internally to an organization, but we need to be prepared for that information to eventually go public.

    - During critical incident communications leaders should:

    • Tell the truth
    • Be forthcoming
    • If they don’t have the answer, it’s okay to say they don’t know but you are working to get the answer
    • Ensure they are communicating with their own people so they know what the organization’s response is and that they are being taken care of
    • Be prepared beforehand, do drills, have a core crisis communication group that includes the CEO, and have a plan
    • Just do the right thing

Prior to his training, coaching, and consulting work, Gary led communications departments at CDW, Hyatt Hotels, and Fortune Brands. Before joining the corporate communications profession, he worked as a reporter and anchor for WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC, where he was nominated for an Emmy Award in investigative journalism, traveled overseas with the U.S. military, and reported from the eye of Category Four Hurricane Hugo.
