"Unveiling Entrepreneurial Identities: Perspectives from Women Entrepreneurs in the Global South" by Manesha Peiris explores the lived experiences of 44 women entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka (https://doi.org/10.1344/jesb.43208). The study examines their views on entrepreneurship and their strategies for belonging to business communities through an intersectional lens that considers gender, race-ethnicity, social class, and lifecycle stage. This article is part of a Special Issue on women as economic actors in the Journal of Evolutionary Studies in Business, edited by Beatriz Rodríguez-Satizabal, Laura Milanes-Reyes, and Paula de la Cruz-Fernández (Vol. 10 No. 1, 2025). Pathiranage Padmali Manesha Peiris is a Senior Lecturer in Reflective Practice and Project Management at Queen Mary University of London. Her research interests focus on gender and entrepreneurship.
