À propos de cet audio

We Did This to Ourselves is a Disney podcast from Jon and Stefanie, a married couple from Ohio with two teens and a thousand opinions. What started as a “we’ll probably only go once” family vacation turned into being casually obsessed. And now we’re spending our evenings ranking dark rides, rewatching Beauty and the Beast, and playing Disney soundtracks in the kitchen like it’s totally normal. And we know we're not alone.

From the parks to the playlists, the movies to the Mickey bars, we’re talking through it all—with strong opinions, occasional judgment, and a whole lot of love.

Casual, honest, funny, and slightly frazzled—just like any good trip to Magic Kingdom. Or any couple deep in their Disney era.

  • 012. The Disney Dining Draft: Parks, Lands, and LeFou’s Brew
    Sep 15 2025

It’s draft day at Disney World, but instead of picking rides, we’re building our dream meal.

In this episode, we each draft a drink, appetizer, dinner, and dessert from across the parks… with one catch: once you take a land, you can’t use it again. From warm popcorn to potato barrels, we debate strategy, argue over picks, and maybe regret leaving a Dole Whip on the board.

    Thank you for listening!

The 90s weren’t just about neon scrunchies and boy bands. They were Disney’s golden age.

In this episode, we dive into the movies and soundtracks that defined the decade, from unforgettable opening scenes (Circle of Life still gives us chills) to the bangers we still scream-sing in the car. We’ll talk forgotten gems, the best 90s soundtracks, and the films that made Disney the cultural powerhouse of our childhood.

  • 010. The Great Disney Flip-Flop
    Sep 1 2025

We’ve said it before but we’re here to eat our words.

In this episode, we revisit some of our Disney hot takes that didn’t age well. From rides we once skipped to snacks we swore weren’t worth it, we’re breaking down the opinions that flipped after a more trips. Because sometimes Disney proves you wrong and sometimes you just needed to give Country Bear Jamboree a second chance.

    Thank you for listening!
