Robert Webber says that, “Every Sunday is a “little Easter.” Every Sunday of the year is a celebration of the Resurrection event because the resurrection of Jesus is such a foundational doctrine of the Christian faith. In fact, it's so important that the Resurrection is mentioned in all of the ancient creeds of the church. In our series “We Believe,” we are looking at the basic tenets of our faith as we explore the Apostle’s Creed. We conclude with our final statement of faith: “I believe in the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.” Associated Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:12-20; 51-58.

Peter asks Jesus, “Lord, how often should I forgive; seven times?” But Jesus responds that we are supposed to forgive people, not seven times; but seventy times seven. Jesus speaks to the importance of forgiveness because he knows the effects that unforgiveness has on us.
