------------
Tom Gentry is a writer and the producer and host of the The Path to Authenticity podcast. He lives and work in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he has spent more than 20 years working with people and families affected by substance use disorders and related concerns.
In the late 1990’s, he began that work after dealing with his own problematic relationship with alcohol. That changed the course of his life and started him down a path which he eventually learned would lead him back to himself. In his work, he helps men navigate the terrain between early stages of abstinence and long-term recovery. He facilitates groups, focusing on relationships, codependency issues, the transition into manhood, and, primarily, the relationship with oneself. He also consults with concerned family members, coaching them through the process of getting help for their loved ones suffering from addiction.
He launched The Path to Authenticity because I wanted to reach more people. He wanted to tell the stories he has heard and share and lessons he has learned. He wanted listeners to hear from the people he has met and to benefit from the wisdom they have to offer. But, most of all, he wanted to build a community for people like him, who want more from life and who want to learn more about themselves.
