It is the time for July lights, and Elizabeth's beloved fireflies are returning to her yard. A warm breeze blows gently through the trees, and just as the darkness settles, lights, like tiny shooting stars, begin to flicker and dance across her yard. Elizabeth quickly notices that one of the fireflies is quite different from the rest. The tiny firefly is not happy about its difference and tries very hard to be like the others. Elizabeth creates a plan to help, but can she get the tiny firefly to trust her?

When she reaches The Land of Black and White where her parents live, she finally comes to understand that she belongs in her color-filled world just as much as everyone else.
