I fjerde bind af "Hestene på ponygården" hører vi om tolvårige Steffi og hendes sommer med den iltre araberhest Saphir. Steffi er den dygtigste rytter på rideskolen - også selvom hun kun har råd til at betale for at ride på ét hold om ugen.
