Biblical Fiction

After first sharing King Josiah with my friends as a manuscript, they were at the same time impressed and amazed, as several asked me how I was able to write such an intriguing and brilliant novel. The truth is that aside from my knowledge of Josiah as a historical figure, and my willingness to write, I can take very little credit for the story itself as it was not so much a work of my imagination but flowed out from a much deeper place within.

Book five of the Davidic Chronicles continues to follow David's journey to fulfill his anointing and to become king of Israel. Forced to flee to the Philistines with his mighty men and their families, David lives in constant jeopardy, knowing that a single misstep will see him and everyone he loves destroyed. Meanwhile, other forces conspire to use David for their own ends in a bid to conquer Israel and prove that the gods of the Philistines are greater than the God of Israel.

The purpose of GENESIS: The Novel is to highlight God’s history with human beings. My target audience is the curious - agnostics and believers alike. I wrote the book to present the biblical stories of the book of Genesis in the form of a novel. Telling a story with full disclosure of the doubts, fears, and weaknesses of a biblical character is my intention. I believe that’s how the listener can identify with each one of them and be inspired.

Book four of the Davidic Chronicles continues to follow David’s flight from an enraged King Saul. Hunted and betrayed on every hand, David must seek God's deliverance as he is driven deeper and deeper into the wilderness south of Jerusalem.

Very little is known of Mephibosheth from Biblical history. We know that he lived during the rise of the new city of Jerusalem, lived in the palace of David, and undoubtedly witnessed the building of Solomon’s Temple. He would have known of David’s adultery with Bathsheba, his songs and psalms, and the challenges to his power from his son Absalom and others. How did this man, falling from prince to pauper, from able-bodied to a cripple, then restored to the king’s palace, navigate such a turbulent journey?

Daniel has gained favor within Nebuchadnezzar’s court, but this creates envy in those who resent his rise to power.
