The Aldens are visiting the Alamo with their grandfather. They arrive at the Alamo to find that a movie is being made there - and they are going to be in it. But then things start to go wrong on the movie set, and a priceless ring from the Alamo Museum disappears. Are the two things connected? It is up to the Boxcar Children to solve this new puzzle

The Boxcar Children have a chance to be in a real play - The Wizard of Oz! Jessie is chosen for the Cowardly Lion. Benny will play a munchkin. Even Watch has a part and all the Aldens are helping with the show. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Someone makes a threatening phone call and a costume is destroyed. Maybe the show won’t go on - unless the Boxcar Children can solve the mystery before opening night!

When the Aldens hear that Mr. Wood's cat Spotzie is missing, they immediately help out by putting up "LOST CAT" posters and going door-to-door with a photograph of the cat. When Mrs. McGregor, the Aldens’ housekeeper, learns that she cannot afford to keep her childhood home, the Crooked House, the Aldens want to help. For years, there has been an unsolved riddle about the house, and solving it could lead to a treasure! Will the treasure save the Crooked House? Can the Boxcar Children find it in time?

When the Aldens go to their favorite Chinese restaurant, Benny can’t wait for the delicious fortune cookies! But when he opens his cookie, he finds a handwritten riddle! One cookie leads to another, and the Aldens soon realize they’ve bitten into another mystery!

The Aldens are so excited when they get to meet other ballonists, learn how hot air balloons work, and even help the crew launch a balloon. Then, things start to go wrong. Someone is trying to ruin the rally, and the Boxcar Children might not get the chance to ride in a hot air balloon after all - unless they solve the mystery in time.

The Aldens are helping to map out a new trail on Blizzard Mountain. As they travel through the frozen wilderness, they learn that there’s treasure buried somewhere on the mountain! The Aldens are thrilled to be with their Aunt Jane and Uncle Andy in San Francisco. When they visit Fisherman's Wharf, their friend, Charlie, invites them aboard a fishing boat. But strange things are happening on the wharf, and it seems as if someone doesn't want Charlie to catch any fish. Can the Boxcar Children find out what's going on?

When the Aldens visit their friend Fran in Wisconsin, they can’t wait to hear her tell the story of the runaway ghost. Fran’s family ghost hasn’t been spotted in years, but the Aldens still shiver at the spooky tale of the ghost’s bell clanging after dark. Then, Violet hears a mysterious ringing in the middle of the night, and the children start to wonder - could the runaway ghost be back?

The Boxcar Children decide to raise money to help the Greenfield hospital. At Beth’s suggestion, they form a service called The Boxcar Helpers - to babysit, wash cars, mow lawns, and care for pets. The Aldens learn many interesting things, and get to look at the stars and planets through a telescope at the observatory. But then some valuable information disappears - along with one of the students at the convention. What's going on? It's another mystery for the Boxcar Children!

Grandfather has just bought a plot of land in the Rocky Mountains - complete with a ghost town! When the Aldens hear their land is haunted, they don't believe it. The Aldens are helping save an old library that's about to be torn down. If they fix it up, it might be given landmark status! But after all their hard work, it's very clear someone is trying to destroy the library. But who?

The Aldens are going to visit a guide dog school - but once they arrive, mysterious things start to happen. Benny sees strange lights in one of the dormitory rooms... and late one night, someone breaks into the kennel where the guide dogs are kept. Is someone after one of the dogs?
