Classic Horror Fiction

In his Commonplace Book and and his lengthy essay "Supernatural Horror in Literature", author H.P. Lovecraft carefully assessed weird tales through the ages. He named a great many stories that he admired. The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society has curated a collection of 43 of the best of them and recorded them as audiobooks for your listening enjoyment. "The Cthulhu Mythos" is a system of cosmic entities, forbidden books, and macabre locations created by the American author, H. P. Lovecraft. Our original 2018 Mythos collection was based on Lin Carter's Lovecraft: A Look Behind the Cthulhu Mythos, which defined a Mythos story as one that "presents a significant item of information about the background lore of the Mythos, thus contributing important information to a common body of lore."
