Bad credit can prevent you from getting a mortgage, car loan, credit card, apartment, or even a job. It can also mean paying a bundle in rates and fees for any loans or credit you do get. There is a lot of confusion as to how your credit score changes and what the factors are. Don't be left in the dark as to why your credit is low.

We started out with very little. We had low paying jobs and one old used car, and rental house that had seen its better days. We were young, in love, and all that mattered to us was being together. We spent summer afternoons at the lake. Our idea of a great Sunday was taking a long car ride. Life continued and we found better-paying jobs. Then we discovered credit. We soon had a nicer house, a couple of nice cars and two pretty cool kids. And we were struggling. We wanted to look successful, but we were barely paying the bills.

A recent report by the research group Massolution opines that crowdfunding and P2P investors injected $1 billion into the US real estate market in 2014 and that the number will double in 2015. New debt participation structures and an increased access to non-US investors are cited as two reasons.
