Rousseau was one of the key figures of the Enlightenment, a period in history when all aspects of politics and human rights underwent dramatic reinterpretation. Thoreau was partly motivated by his abhorrence with slavery and the Mexican-American War. His work has inspired great leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Martin Buber.

Brexit, also called British Exit, refers to the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union. This has long been a political accomplishment that has been pursued by many individuals, political parties, and advocacy groups. This has been the idea of these persons since the United Kingdom joined the EU in 1973. The withdrawal of member countries has been a right of the EU's membership since 2007, fully addressed under Article 50 of the Treaty on the European Union.

An ordinary American explains why he supports Trump.

"Give me liberty, or give me death!" is a quotation attributed to Patrick Henry from his speech to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775, at St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia. Henry spoke without notes, and no transcript of his exact words have survived. The only known version of his speech was reconstructed in the early 1800s by William Wirt, a biographer who corresponded with various attendees of the convention.
