Story
The American frontier - also called the Wild West or the Old West - includes the history and folklore of the forward wave of expansion from the European colonial settlements in the east toward the west coast. The western narrative had its beginnings in the adventure stories that accompanied the opening of the West to settlement before the Civil War. This era of massive migration was encouraged by President Thomas Jefferson after the Louisiana Purchase, and gave rise to the expansionist attitude known as "Manifest Destiny".

Story
Frank J. Cannon, newspaperman, congressional delegate, and senator, guided Utah toward becoming the 45th state in the Union in 1896. When he lost favor with the LDS Church, his contributions fell into obscurity. But when Utah elected Mormon apostle Reed Smoot to the US Senate in 1903, Cannon condemned what he called the reneging of LDS Church pledges to stay out of politics. He wrote denunciations of Smoot and Mormon president Joseph F. Smith, who co-authored Under the Prophet in Utah, and spearheaded the National Reform Association’s anti-Mormon crusade.

But as is often the case in history, despite their differences, America and Soviet Russia had a common enemy that brought them together - Nazi Germany. But soon after Truman was elected president, American and Soviet relations began to go south. Before the war was over, disagreements arose over how the postwar world should be administered.

Story
Thomas of London, the rebellious Archbishop of Canterbury, has made peace with Henry II, after six long years in exile. Henry and Thomas are both prepared to put past differences aside, but there is little trust left between the two former close friends and allies. A single ill-judged word or action could spark a conflict between the two men - and church and state. When news that Thomas has excommunicated royal supporters soon reaches the King, it is the last straw. With no hope of a lasting peace between the King and Archbishop, there can be only one, bloody conclusion.

The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is the traditional name for the unfinished record of his own life written by Benjamin Franklin from 1771 to 1790; however, Franklin himself appears to have called the work his Memoirs. Although it had a tortuous publication history after Franklin's death, this work has become one of the most famous and influential examples of an autobiography ever written.
