I went in to 107 days expecting a factual and professional recap of Kamala’s 2024 election race. It lived up to those expectations but shone with the added clarity of Kamala’s daily work, the innumerable relationships she nurtures, and the calm confidence she brings to all she does.
I especially enjoyed getting to know her team, and could feel their unique voices and perspectives in the retelling of those 107 days.
Without a doubt, I would recommend this, and hope that one day Kamala Harris will gift us with another book.
A compulsory read!

Harris takes us through the highs and lows of her campaign, but what stood out to me most were her stories about her family, their unwavering support, and the difficult decision-making behind the scenes. She shares these moments with honesty and humanity, making the listener feel part of her journey.
Even though she did not win the election, Harris’s words carry hope for the future—that the next generation will have the courage and opportunity to repair the damage left behind by President Trump. That message stayed with me. As a Canadian, I can’t vote in U.S. elections, but I can reflect on what role I might play in encouraging younger generations here in Canada to stay engaged and not let cynicism take over.
I was also struck by her reminder that America is not defined solely by one leader. About a third of people voted for her, a third voted for Donald, and another third did not vote at all. That reality gives me hope that there are still many Americans who are not anti-Canadian or hostile to the world, and it challenges me to help other Canadians see that we can’t judge all Americans by the actions of one president.
107 Days is more than a campaign memoir—it’s an honest, hopeful, and inspiring story about resilience, family, and the possibility of change. Listening to it left me with respect not just for Harris’s determination, but also with a renewed sense of responsibility as a Canadian to build understanding across borders.
I wish her book tour was coming to Halifax instead of Toronto. I hope some of them are streamed on YouTube so I can watch at home.

This isn’t, unfortunately, a biography. It is a blow-by-blow recounting of the whirlwind 187 days that carried Harris to the presidency after Biden stepped aside. That might sound dramatic, but the retelling often feels like a replay of headlines we've all lived through, rather than offering new insight: 'Trump did this, I did that, this is what the media got wrong, and this is what I meant.' Who is this book really for? The spiel that this was for her is all fine and dandy, but then she should haver written a longer biography (taking a page out of the Obamas' playbook) and include this as a portion. As a result, because it only focused on the journey to the elections, you can bet Republicans won’t read it and learn important lessons. Moderates probably won’t bother. The audience is and will be largely those who already cheered her on. For them, this will be a victory lap. For the rest, it lands more like a “coulda, shoulda, woulda” exercise.
I also expected more from Harris’s narration. She needed more coaching. Too often, she seemed to stop at the end of every line for a breath, rather than the end of a sentence, breaking the flow. The pacing was painfully slow—I had to listen at 1.20x just to keep my attention.
In sum, diehard fans of Harris will love it—it will keep the admiration burning and perhaps even re-ignite the excitement of those 187 days. But if you’re looking for a thoughtful, revealing political memoir, this isn’t it.

Im ashamed that I wasted a $12 credit listening to this garbage, and even more disappointedin myself for listeningto the whole fictional account of a failed presidentialrun.
It's a pretty clear detailing of how she never stood a chance, and a good example of how to omit every detail that hinted that she was never going to win from her coronation as the democratic nominee in 2024.
