Publisher's Summary

She knew her hand in marriage would be sold. She had no idea a fae prince was the buyer.

Katria swore she'd never fall in love. She's seen what "love" means through the cruelty of her family. So when she's married off to the mysterious Lord Fenwood for a handsome price, all Katria wants is a better life than the one she's leaving. Feelings are off the table.

But her new husband makes not falling in love difficult.

As their attraction begins to grow, so too do the oddities within her new life: strange rules, screams in the night, and attacks by fae that Katria never thought were real. When she witnesses a ritual not meant for human eyes, Katria finds herself spirited away to the land of Midscape.

Surviving the fae wilds as a human is hard enough. Katria must survive as a human who accidently pilfered the magic of ancient kings—magic a bloodthirsty king is ready to kill her for in order to keep his stolen throne—and her new husband is the rightful heir in hiding.

The power to save the fae is in her hands. But who will save her from a love she vowed never to feel?

A Dance with the Fae Prince is a complete, stand-alone novel inspired by the tales of Psyche and Eros, as well as Cinderella, with a "happily ever after" ending. It's perfect for romantic fantasy fans. A Dance with the Fae Prince features a slow-burn romance, swoon-worthy couple, and steaminess that ranges from simmering to sizzling.

fantastic

Loved both the narration and the story. It was easy to get immersed in the world. It was even better than a deal with the elf king.

A good listen

Nice that it is a solo book even though it shares similarities with the Elf King. I enjoyed it and that's the whole point, right?
Light romance and a few predictable twists but worth the time.

Loooooved this book! I highly recommend it - a tad predictable at times but not terribly. Performance was great too!

Just right!

Wonderful variation on a Cinderella Type tale, filled with adventure and romance. I felt that the development of the main character as she recovered from bullying/abuse was extremely believable and well done.

The heroine was no damsel in distress, but neither was she a superhero. It was well balanced. Good slow burn romance.

The performance was perfection.

Loved it and can't wait for the next book to come

Although this book was very predictable I still absolutely loved it! I liked the first book but I think I enjoyed this one more. The characters have great personalities and the plot is very whimsical! Highly recommended!

Good but

If you read the first book in the series, there are a few story beats that are similar and you will figure out mysteries long before the truth is revealed. Like it might get a little frustrating at how they dont talk about certain things... But, it is undeniably a good listen. you will be swooning in your chair at the phrasing of words and the expressions of love in this novel. By the end, I didn't want it to end. It felt like there could be another story. I enjoyed listening to this novel.

Good effort, but not for me.

Decent qualities: the supporting characters were great along with the friendships that developed. The maturing of the hero and heroine was good (once it finally did happen in the final quarter of the book). The final chapter was decent. This was an interesting twist (very loosely) based on the Cupid/Psyche story.
**This book will resonate with some readers, but it wasn't for me. It had so much potential!

Issues: 1) Dear Ms Kova, please know that there are many more, wonderful words that can be used to describe a smile outside of 'sly'. No joke, every single chapter after hero/heroine met used that description, sometimes multiple times.
2) I personally did not like nor get attached to the main characters. 3) The plot was frequently interrupted by the heroine fantasizing about the hero's hot body (and sly smile) even when they just survived death or she was just about to say something important. 3) Until the final third of the book, everything is very repetitive. I don't baulk at 400-900 page books, but this one really has no business being as long as it is! 4) Lastly, I had the unfortunate experience of figuring out the mystery of the Heir early on and barely kept my frustration with the characters and overall story line in check - almost DNF but decided to push through to the end.
