This author takes everything you love about LitRpg and fantasy progression books and puts a new refreshing idea of a MC that’s basically allergic to magic. Recommend to anyone looking for something new to scratch that itch.

This was fun and had a lot of fun listening. Hope the next one ain’t too far away. It’s one of my favourites, so if you’re on the fence, just get it and enjoy!

i like the story, and its not a romance. Too many skill reports that is a little distracting, but i still want to see how the story and MC develops.

This is a very good book due to very competent writing, but there are various minor aspects that I don't like:
* MC is a real scientist (not just a plot device like many other series), but instead of producing wonders by combining magic and science, the author feels the need to nerf the MC by preventing him from using magic completely and it's really disappointing
* MC becoming horny everytime a new friendly guy shows up -> cringy
* non-binary side character (with pronouns) feels out of place

I was looking for books that involved the MC diving deep into magical studies as I'm most drawn to stories about wizards. I thought that with something titled antimage I'd get something along those lines. Instead I got antimagic Barbarian who's quick and clever. The general story telling and world building are both fantastic and this is a good read, definitely worth buying
