Story
Without so much as a warning, humanity in its entirety was suddenly moved to another dimension. Every person, without exception. But this new world, with all its opportunities and gifts of wondrous abilities, was a stadium. A deadly arena of an unimaginable scale. And humanity was to be its latest gladiators. Every man, woman, and child was given a weapon and ordered to fight. Stuck in this dimension without a way out, only two options existed for the would-be hunters: Fight with monsters to complete the many trials ahead, or perish.

Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. Just tinker with things during the apocalypse! It will work out … maybe
Drugs are bad and let you make stupid decisions or hallucinate the end of the world, impossible tutorial puts you in the hardest of situations with unending odds against you.
Unless your ready to die and say f to the rules there has to be a way to win so let’s build something awesome and beat this tutorial and get to the game.
The story was great and I love the fact it’s not all finding women and sexing till it’s over, this story has a clear goal and the main character isn’t the end all of powerhouses. This story has a sense of realism and lets you know more about the people who would choose impossible tutorial.
The voices were funny and full of emotion so I get infested in the well-being of each party member
I look forward to the next books in this story and rat it max stars for any system apocalypse fans out there.

Fun
Narrator did an admirable job.
The story concept is great. I feel like Campbell balanced Jeb's struggles with trying to tell the story, though it's a tad unrealistic how quickly he adapts to the emotional trials he has to face - honestly that's what I like about Jeb. He's just plain competent.
Looking forward to spending credits on the rest of the series.

Scratched the itch
While I have certainly read better and I felt like the main character was too powerful sometimes, I found myself enjoying myself immensely. The way the main character uses his abilities are clever and make sense. I didn't have any issues with the choices characters made; at least not from a logical standpoint. All and all, it was an enjoyable read. I just wish the sequel was out at the time I'm writing this.

Good
Not amazing, nor revolutionary. It's good even though it's shorter than I'd prefer. It's got potential, but it wasn't one to keep me on the edge of my seat or anything. Decent story sprinkled with awkward ecchi moments that I could do without, but still quite solid.

I loved this book, it was great, except the last part
*Spoilers*

When Jeb is confronted by the council and he loses all his powers and then wakes up on the new earth with no power, and the implication from the 2nd book's description showing that Jeb doesn't have his power back? What was the point of him earning all that he did. Why even both having him earn any power if you're just gonna strip it away, and the fact that you basically took away so much of his character development away. it actually makes me want to avoid the 2nd book when it comes out.
You don't spend an entire book building up on a character and their power just to literally take it all away all, especially when there were 5 others who committed the same "crime" but they didn't get this punishment.

Finally, a non harem litrpg with character growth
This genre is so overdone right now with generic puberty driven character motivations. Nothing wrong with that except it makes it difficult to find a decent story not clogged with clumsy (usually cringey) sex scenes.
This feels more relatable. The main cast of characters are not 2 dimensional cutouts and they don't make plot device dumb choices. The main protagonist is clever, funny, and you do root for him and the characters he encounters.
The ending is satisfying with a good hook for the follow up. Another reviewer chastised the ending, but in the scope of the setting, it felt justified to me and potentially leading to even more character development in the next volume in the series.
The narrator does a fantastic job. I was never confused as to which character was speaking. so good in fact, if I was on the fence about a title and saw this narrator, I'd take the chance.
if I had to make a comparison on the theme: Ready Player One meets Sword Art Online but with less teenage angst. I will definitely be getting the next installment when it's released

Very good!!
Bought this on a whim for something to listen to while waiting for another book to come out, and so happy I did! Very well done characters flushed out just the right amount to make them all interesting without getting to bogged down in back story. The magic system is VERY well thought out!! Reminds me of the Dresden files with explaining how and why the magic works instead of a generic fireball or lightning spell. 5 stars!!!

Great story, terrible ending
If you’re going into this book looking for a story about the main character progressing in strength (which most litrpg books are about) you will likely enjoy this book right up until the end. At which point you will become just as furious as I was.
Spoilers! Spoilers! Spoilers!
I’m giving one spoiler which I wish I had been told before I started this book. The main character is stripped of all his power and the system that everyone else has. He is not rewarded at all for anything he achieves. He is punished.

Lots of fun
good story well told with loads of interesting ways to abuse a system...
and abuse is right, because the blurb might say that the difficulty is impossible, but it feels more like easy, this is a book about a overpowered MC that's hyper capable even when presented otherwise and if a challenge requires something specific they either got it 5 min ago or know where to find it...
still, the journey is fun as is the combat, so if you are in the mood for a MC that wins at everything, this is the book for you...
even the Narrator is extremely talented and his many voices stays so constant that you know who is talking with it being said and his female voices even made me forget it was a single narrator book

the comady felt very persnoles but still was oky the story is oky...ahhh spoilrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt like the ending feels cheap like an easy way for the ahutor to make the mc grind all over agin and i really dont like the fairys they feel kinda stuped the book feelt slow the gods.. or what ever the run the system are very paty and act like kids many of the sid chrecters are anoying and i dont understnd why he didnt laeve them at no point the mc needed anyone and all the time they treat him bad or anoying or takeing stuff they got becues of him or thanks for him or from him and not gving a care or thanks that he saves all of them soo many times the feel so much more like a handecap more so than him losing his leg at the start from someting stupied they feel so much more like a handecap ... and him losing his leg at the start feels like the ahutor way of having easy bad comday or giving his mc a harder time and thr sid charecters to
and thats it overall the book well was oky but im not going to run to buy the next one.

Highly Recommend!!!
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. I can usually figure out how a book will end beforehand, but this one kept me on my toes (in a good way). The author's approach to the magic system made this a fun and interesting read (or in my case listen) from start to finish.
The voice actor for the audiobook did a really good job as well. His pacing felt natural. He voiced the book in a way that brought the characters to life and made the story feel even more immersive.

Love this series, couldn’t wait so got kindle for remaining Books
I really enjoyed this series. I liked it so much that after listening to the first I ended up getting kindle versions so I can read the next two books in the series.
Anxiously awaiting audible versions still as this is a nice listen while I go about my day.
