I am hooked!
An especially interesting book to read in light of Russia’s actual invasion into Ukraine. Don’t try to pick it apart, as nobody could have known how this was going to play out in reality, but instead, enjoy the wonderfully written story and get to know the characters. There are many parallels to the real war and I have also been reminded of what can still happen. I am downloading the second in the series as I write this and look forward to seeing it through to the end!

A very good opening to a series
I liked the story and was basically realistic with current technology and possible political outcomes I could see happening. The big drawback was the narration, which was monotone even during pitched battles, a little excitement in the narrators voice goes a long way.

I hate when there’s more books in the series 😡
Great book and narration. The author drives the story ahead like a race car, fast paced with curves. Uncomfortably close to real world events taking place in Ukraine right now.
Only one complaint, it’s a series! I’m going to have to buy more books ☹️

Meh - gives Russia equipment far too much credit
Pro Russian writer and makes the west look like what Russia is in real life - incompetence by the writer’s research
