Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Publisher's Summary
From USA Today and million-copy best-selling author J. Robert Kennedy.
Will a forgotten weapon and an uncontrollable hate unleash the ultimate war?
A nuclear missile, lost during the Cold War, is now in play - the most public spy swap in history, with a gorgeous agent at the center of international attention, triggers the endgame of a corrupt Soviet colonel's 25-year plan. Pursued across the globe by the Russian authorities, including a brutal Spetsnaz unit, those involved will stop at nothing to deliver their weapon and ensure their payday, regardless of the terrifying consequences.
When Laura Palmer confronts a UNICEF group for trespassing on her Egyptian archaeological dig site, she unwittingly stumbles upon the ultimate weapons deal, and becomes entangled in an international conspiracy that sends her lover, archaeology Professor James Acton, racing to Egypt with the most unlikely of allies, not only to rescue her, but to prevent the start of a holy war that could result in Islam and Christianity wiping each other out.
If you enjoy action-packed thrillers, then don’t miss Brass Monkey, a novel international in scope, certain to offend some, and stimulate debate in others. Brass Monkey, from USA Today and million-copy best-selling author J. Robert Kennedy, pulls no punches in confronting the conflict between two of the world's most powerful, and divergent, religions, and the terrifying possibilities the future may hold if left unchecked.

Hmmm. Whatever.
So, I purchased this title after listening to the first book in this series (The Protocol). I did not particularly “love” or even enjoy the first book all that much. Loved the RC Bray narration though. But, hey, I felt that I should get the second book anyway, since the first wasn’t a complete suck-fest. Anyway, this is just more of the same “high adrenaline” fueled garbled mish-mash of DaVinci Code/Indiana Jones + Nark Greaney/Vince Flynn. Well, THAT actually “sounds” good, but reality proves otherwise. Constant changes in POV (head reeling....), bizarre dialogue to the point of it veing so unnatural/incoherent that the characters mught as well have been aliens or dodo birds. Have no idea what I just listened to, nor do I care to repeat the experience.

The Rollercoaster Ride Continues - Yee Haa !
Your favorite characters are back at it and you better cinch that seatbelt tight because it's a whirlwind! Kennedy guides you through a maize of countries and experiences as in "The Mummy" way. Secret organizations, black SUVs, black helicopters.... yah, you want to say so what but its fun and suspenseful. Add RC Bray to the mix and you have a winner. This is a series that was very enjoyable in print.... hope they continue to make more.
I highly recommend this book

Great Listen!
I’m not sure what I was expecting when listening to this book, but the story line was different than I expected. I really enjoyed the new characters introduced and the new situation that James was put in. This is a worthy successor to book 1 and I can’t want to listen to book 3! Give it a shot, I sure you will like it.

Great combination of story and narration
Never read anything from this extensive book series before, but very much liked the first audiobook"Protocol" and this one didn't disappoint. RC Bray really shine with the material, elevating what is already a good story to new levels.

5 stars in every way
The second instalment in this series is even better than the first. Edge of your seat action, excellent character development, fascinating facts, and a globe spanning warning to the world about violent radicals of any background. Really wish it hadn’t ended.

That end...
Overall, this is a decent story told in a way I hate. 2-10 minute chapters constantly changing povs, it's disorienting and ruinous to the pacing.
The ending though was so aggressively stupid, especially given the events of the entire book previous, that it's warned me off continuing this series. this is it for me.
RC Bray on point again.
