About this listen

#1 Amazon Bestseller in the entire Amazon store

An all-new dark standalone romance from the USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Shantel Tessier. Carnage is based in the Lords' world and can be listened to as a standalone.

A PUPPET

The men in the secret society known as the Lords think they rule the world. And in a way, they do. Each has sold their soul to the devil at a young age in exchange for power and wealth. Like anything else, they have different levels of success. The more they’re willing to serve, the more power they have.

Among them are the Spade brothers, who run Carnage. It’s where the Lords who have not held up their oath go to live out the rest of their lives in shackles. Tucked away from the world as if they never existed.

I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW.

I once belonged to a Lord—Saint Beckham Carter. Although nothing was holy about him, I still kneeled as if he could grant me eternity in a world where only evil existed.

At the time, I willingly vowed to be his and allowed him to share me with his “brothers.” But things changed. And what I thought couldn’t get any better got exceptionally worse. So I did the only thing I could and ran from him, knowing I could never return. Now he’s found me and dragged me back to his hell, where he will make me his pet. The world already thinks I’m dead, so no one will miss me. And I’m just another name on a long list of those who will never know freedom.

What he doesn’t know is why I ran from him in the first place. A Lord doesn’t listen to reason, so it’s not like he’d care anyway. Saint was born a Lord, and he will die as one.

If life has taught me anything, it’s that we all pay for our sins. And Saint will never let me forget that my place is at Carnage, serving him on my knees until death is granted.

This was my favourite book of the series. Plus the narrators were perfectly picked. They both nailed their roles respectively

Perfect choice for narrators

I loved this audio version as much, if not more than reading it. The narration was really well done and amazing. Can't wait for more of these Spade brothers. They're pure brutal sin and absolutely wicked! 🥵

Absolutely incredible 👌🥵😏

I had a tough time taking time to eat even when hungry because I couldn’t stop listening to this book! The performances seemed to match the characters perfectly. The MMC, Saint is so amazingly twisted and depraved, this is my favourite crazy MC.

A must read/listen.

Holy hell 🥵, this book this MMC one of my favs!

This book is anything just vanilla. Honestly, it’s a lot. I had to stop and listen to something else because it became too much. Overall, well written and great performance, but this may be a DNF for me, because I’m weak.

I should have looked up the TWs…..

I LOVED this series. but was a little underwhelmed by this book. Teddy Hamilton and Michelle Sparks together is an amazing duo.

Not a bad book

I stumbled upon this after reading and enjoying Haunting Adeline but sadly, between not liking the couple, along with my inner feminist constantly being pissed off (something I usually throw out the window when reading this genre), I found myself unable to properly enjoy this book. Maybe it's partially because I'm not a pain girly, or maybe it's because I prefer my female lead to be a least a little more than a sex object (no kink shaming here, if you like that kind of thing, this book could be right up your dark smutty alley)... But I also found there was a lacking in any heart warming / relationship building moments. Which made it hard for me to feel any sense of chemistry / love between two characters who were apparently "mad" for one another.

Long story short, I disliked it.

Honestly, I only finished it because I like Teddy Hamilton's voice so much.

Not my cup of tea

i really love all of these books from this series, accept this one. i did like the men in this story, but i dispose the female lead, Ashton. i was really routing for a multiple guy dynamic relationship in this story, but after reading the next book, Madness i just really hated Ashton even more im sorry. Shes WAY to eager and truly a whore and just one of those girls who seemed way to desperate for the big D lol. i really hated her character even more in the next book as she makes a couple appearences. overall though the Voice acting is amazing as always they do such an amazing job bringing the story to life. love the cast.

Love these stories, but this one was not it

This was the most confusing book I’ve ever read…. I have no idea what I don’t know. I just know that I have no clue what happened. The first half of this book was so hot I thought I was on fire. The second half of this book was 💀💀💀💀💀 the story line is so vague and unconnected. I am still confused.

Ashton was the most infuriating female character I have ever read. She literally has rocks for brain cells. She came off so bad ass at the beginning owning her kinks. Yet her character completely flopped and became the whiniest bitch. Aston kept walking around carnage being like “where’s saint” for the entire book, but turned around and tried to escape him!?!?! Like MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. Not to mention every time she went into a place she was told not to for her own safety she was like “oh no i hate seeing this”. Your at carnage stay in your room then. Like you’re in a secret society that is absolutely fucked up. Like how can you act surprised every time. I just can’t. We loved Saint though.

Also we didn’t need an SA scene. These books are wild enough.

The only reason I bothered finishing this book is because the spice was 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

“I love that she’s innocent, because I can’t wait to ruin her”

“I’m starving for something I’ve never even tasted”

“There is no god here sweetheart. Make no mistake you will kneel for me, but the things I have planned for you are anything but holy”

I HATE DUMB FMC's

Made it to Chpt 25. Found it intense. Violent. Cold. Narrators are a perfect pair.

Couldn't hack it

This book made me feel miserable and stressed. I can handle Zade and Malachi and all sorts of toxic mmc’s because they were obsessed, loved their girls, killed for them and would burn the world down for them but these two… ugh… they just made me mad. Too much I own you, you’re my slave and I’m going to humiliate you. It really got under my skin. Dnf at 30%. Now narration wise, amazing. Teddy and Michelle will always be top tier. And duet style narration can’t be beat.

Not for me
