Publisher's Summary

Coming Out of Religious Darkness is a very good resource for all people who want to gain a better understanding of the religious narrative. It can be beneficial for religiously-minded people who desire to possess a more extensive view of what their faith is based on. It’s a very valuable tool for truth-seekers who are new to doing more thorough research that can help them on their journey for truth. In addition, it can serve as an affirmation for non-believers in their decision to forgo religion in their lives. Also, it will help those who are still uncertain about the role of religion in their lives.

This book is not designed to cover all the available data that exits on this subject, but just to point the religiously inquisitive person in the right direction. The purpose of this book is not to gain converts; it is not to discourage or change an individual’s views, but mainly to be informative, enlightening, and insightful, which might lead to a person deciding to have a more in-depth evaluation of their religious beliefs.

Its goal is to help you to break the dependency many religious people have with their rabbis, caliph, iman, preachers, elders, pastors, priests, and bishops when it comes to understanding religious teachings, history, and practices.

Contrary to popular religious claims that they have the truth and are teaching it to their followers, it is impossible to make this claim when they only know one point of view, many times without any substantial proof at all! In addition, they are not testing their teachings and beliefs against other teachings, beliefs, history, nature, and science. As a matter of fact, many religions have not only discouraged their followers from analyzing and comparing other views to theirs; they have outright prevented them from doing so! If they don’t have a complete picture of their beliefs that can withstand close scrutiny how can they possibly have the truth!

The author has spent the first half of his life engaging in the religious world and its teachings, and the latter half of his life in the non-religious and anti-religious worlds. This gave him the opportunity to study the works of psychologists, Bible scholars, and scientists, in addition to having some very informative discussions with some of them. Resulting in gaining a great deal of experience about both sides of the religious narrative. Also, he enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with people of many different faiths and practices, which most religions highly discourage. He read their holy books, had directed discussion with their leaders, attended meetings, ceremonies and learned about their history from the source. With his years of experience and research rest assured that there will be information in this book that you didn’t know before.
