Nobody’s against the virtues

I returned that book (read 1/4 of it). As the title of this review says, nobody’s against virtues ...
I found the book’s idea too much dispersed. There were so many concepts. I felt the author gave me 6 to 8 concepts to applied per minutes like someone was reading me a grocery list ... all the components of the list made sense ... but I guess that I struggled with the “listing” kind of approach.

Basics

Adults with social deficits, including those as a result of various disabilities, might benefit, but the average person will find very little useful
revelation.

Conversation Skills Guide. Podcast recommendation

Recommended by a podcast,...then recommend by a friend...then another friend...so finally got it ha!
A very good and most importantly UNIQUE guide to all things related to conversation and social skills.
I liked that the advice was new or at least had a very unique spin to it.
Recommended to me...and now I recommend to you.

Excellent book

Heard about this on a podcast - took a bit of a chance on it - VERY glad I did. More than happy to give this full marks.

VERY good!

Personally I loved this book and can see why it is mentioned by so many people. Loved the stuff about body language and I am already using a lot of the techniques to quite amazing effect!

Best conversation skills guide out there

Best conversation skills or social skills guide out there, it is as simple as that!

Nothing else comes close (and I have tried about 20 books like this...)

Short but packed with wisdome

A great collection of many beneficial principles. Highly recommended. To be listened few times at least.

Valuable

Genuinely one of the most valuable books I have read or listened to in many years. Worked for me in the work place and in my social life. I feel I gained a greater appreciation of social skills, how to apply them, how to make them work for me.

Smug But Good Content

I had trouble following because of the narrator's apparently smug delivery of the written content. What gives it a three is relatively decent content. I am thankful for the references that it used to continue effective conversations.

Good starting point, not much after

The book detailed some of the basic requirements in human interactions, as expected. However, I found there was a personal limit to the engagement of the book due to it being effectively a list of dos and don’ts.
It was fine overall and I didn’t know how deep I expected to find the book, but it seems it didn’t hit that level for me.
