Publisher's Summary

No one survived the last battle unscathed. Flint is angry at the world, Jaxon is turning into something I don't recognize, and Hudson has put up a wall I'm not sure I'll ever break through.

Now war is coming, and we're not ready. We're going to need an army to have any hope of winning. But first, there are questions about my ancestors that need answers. Answers that might just reveal who the real monster is among us.

And that's saying something in a world filled with bloodthirsty vampires, immortal gargoyles, and an ancient battle between two gods.

There's no guarantee that anyone will be left standing when the dust settles, but if we want to save this world, I have no choice. I'll have to embrace every part of me...even the parts I fear the most.

Good Read

After finishing book 4 of this series, I have to say that the author is quite imaginative. Great characters. What turned me off was the swearing and constant repeating of the love she feels, and what they are about to face. Still, quite enjoyable.

Action Packed!

Wolff does not fail to deliver in book 4! The plot is jam packed with action and even an unsuspected turn or two. Yes, there’s still some cheesy romance, but most of it will still make you feel the swoon. I’ve never been an individual to listen to, rather than read myself, for anything. But this is really well done. The characters are even given their own unique voice as narration flows. In a point system (rather than stars) I would give it 4.7/5!

A great conclusion

I loved it, Court wrapped everything up nicely. Can't wait for Charm!
I love the happiness and optimism and humanity in this series.

Prononciation Changes??

Amazing story and plot. I’ve been listening to this series for the past month or so, and just got to Court. This series has been narrated by Heather Costa since book one, and I absolutely love her narration and the way she gives each character a different voice. However, she changed the way she pronounces Mekhi’s name in this book and it’s completely throwing me off! Still a fantastic book overall, but I might have to read the physical book for the rest of this.

Conflicted

I hate the hyperbolic hypercritical internal dialogue. One oment it's "I would never risk (insert desired object o person of choice)." Then 2 seconds later it's "I would give up anything including (object or person previously mentioned)." Not just in word but deed, I will never do that just to do it a moment later. I love the character growth and the plot itself is interesting, but the internal voice which is normally my favorite part just.... no.
