Publisher's Summary

Koren Bladewell now knows he is a wizard, but he is lost in the wilderness, cut off from help, and unable to use his powers. The enemy is poised at the border with an overwhelming invasion force, and it will take wizards, soldiers and a young, untested princess to hold off defeat long enough for Koren to be trained and grow into his power. But he might not wish to help those who deceived him and destroyed his life.

Really well done! Great ending.

The end of the 3rd book does a great job of wrapping things up. So many epic scenes. Craig Alanson showing off his fantasy novel skills.

a great story

I am a big fan of Alanson’s si-fi work and thought I’d branch out. This story lands as true fantasy....with wizards and demons and princesses and royal armies all racing to secure a future. It is a wonderful story that has all the component pieces of good fantasy with just a hint, at the end of book 3 of what is intended to be a trilogy, that our heroes may go on to do more interesting things in a more peaceful world.....unless? Give it a try if you are a fantasy lover. It is well done and easy to get lost in. The narrator does a great job rendering the story as well, and is as convincing a demon as he is princess.

the whole series was very enjoyable.

the story of Corrin blade well is very interesting and entertaining. What does go by quite slowly, and the climax is very short... The whole series is still worth a read.

A fitting end

The final book in the series is what you will expect from this series. It does not have any big surprises or twist, but it is well written and narrated. I very much enjoyed this series. #Audible1

Charming

This was one of my first audio book series. Quite captivating. I had difficulty 'setting it down.' Lots is fun. Good twists and turns. A few too many 'Ums.' The reading was very good. Perhaps especially suited to a young teenage audience? Thank you.

Great book

Solid book, a bit disappointed to see the series end though. Comparable to the Micheal J Sullivan’s writing but not as detailed. Still very good and would recommend

good story bad editing

the editing is very bad. You can tell when pieces are added as the voice changes along with the volume. it is very disturbing and breaks immersion.

Fantasy trilogy firs

I liked the story. This is not Science Fiction (It is ridiculous that Science Fiction and Fantasy are categorized together, they really need to be separated). And don’t worry, Craig Allison can write different genres as other authors do.
So this is a Fantasy trilogy. The first book, as you expected, is the introductions, it sets the time as medieval with wizards, spells, magic, knights and a princess, and portals opening with the threat of demons from another universe. The narrator is fine and he warms up to the material by the 5th chapter.
