Publisher's Summary

After bonding with Dawnbringer, the Sacred Sword of Light, Keras Selyrian travels to the nation of Edria to compete in the Tournament of the Sacred Sword. The winner of the tournament will be given a chance to fight for the Sacred Sword of Stone if they can defeat the current wielder, the impossibly powerful Emperor of Edria, in single combat.

Winning the tournament will be no simple endeavor. To succeed, Keras will have to face representatives from every nation, other foreign travelers of great skill, his own allies, other sacred sword wielders...and even a familiar face from his past.

But the tournament itself won't be the only challenge.

When tournament contestants are found dead, Keras discovers the telltale signs of a familiar type of enemy - one that even his own formidable powers might fail to match.

Author's note: This book is designed to set the foundation for plot and character arcs for several books to come, and this means that by necessity, there will be a number of elements introduced in this book that aren't resolved by the end. This is intentional, but it may not work for all listeners. If you prefer stories that feel self-contained, you may be best waiting for at least one more book to come out to listen to them back-to-back.

omg!!

You've got to hand it to Andrew Rowe, man knows how to write a good book. Diamante is a fun filled adventure on the quest for the next sacred sword. Never letting you down for a moment and then smashing you with an ending so shocking.. I have to know more! Nick, as always, did an outstanding job narrating the book. Hats off to another amazing production!

What a book

This book pre order was released at least 2 mounts ago and I pre prefer it like and idiot but I am such a big fan of Andrew Rowe, I didn’t care. I really want this book and waiting was torture but well worth the wait if only barely, because I am really impatient. This book is amazing (period).

yet another masterpiece

I love this whole series. everything is beautiful about it, the pacing is superb with a good mix of fast action to incredible character and world development. the author has such a fantastic hold on all different aspects from every storyline going on within this universe and the way that every little object plays a role in the greater storyline. nothing but a fantastic time loosing yourself in every character and analyzing their emotions and behaviours. I'd say I want a tv show of this universe but it's so unbelievably grand and detailed that no motion picture could do it justice.

Light and Fun

I've read all of the books (so far) in this universe. I can easily say that if you want some writing with lighter flavor, yet full of world building, read his books. Diamantine is an excellent continuation of his world and the story of the man who goes by many names. Not to mention that Nick Podehl is one of the most dynamic and interesting narrators in the audiobook medium (in my opinion).

I am In shock!

When I started this book, my excitement was immeasurable. And now that I have finished it, I have somehow transcended excitement and now I feel as though I am emotionally invested in the characters and the world of these books, to the point that I will probably think about them daily, and wonder if they are alright. This story is but a piece in one of he best stories I have ever read. It is starting to feel as though everything really is connected and coming together. Everything from The War Of Broken Mirrors, to Arcane Ascension, is starting to feel more connected, and the next book whatever it may be, will be even more engaging now that we are somewhat aware of what is going on. But there are still very many questions yet to be answered, and I am sure it will only get more interesting moving forward. Thank you Andrew Rowe, Thank you Podium Publishing, Thank You Nick Podehl, Thank You Audible and Thank you to everyone that makes these books possible. You have my gratitude.

Not the best in the series

Big fan of Rowes work. This one is okay but feels more like a vehicle for plot wrapped in the tournament arc from Hunter x Hunter. also whatever Podehl did to Corrins voice he needs to undo. I know it's a minor part but he's literally the protagonist for two existing books. nows not the time for creative choices (hmm maybe I should make him sound much younger and also whiney)

Why!? Gotta read this now

Andy, Mr. Rowe, author-so-dear, please don’t go so long as RRMartin has gone with GoT. I need more of these series’! That ending, I literally cursed out loud. I know it’s gonna be a while before I get to follow up on it. Oh and another excellent performance by Nick Podehl! I searched for his name and went to listen to other books he’s read.

awesome series.

I love the series... the title didn't really reflect the progression of the story much, but it did whet my appetite for more.

Light and fun.

Interesting idealist story with good characters, and elaboration on the last books. Felt like a prequel, but still had snippets of the main story line. I love how hard the magic system is, reminiscent of rpgs, you can feel the characters grow in power.
