Publisher's Summary

The apocalypse will be televised!

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible.

In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground.

The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot. A dungeon so enormous, it circles the entire globe.

Only a few dare venture inside. But once you're in, you can't get out. And what's worse, each level has a time limit. You have but days to find a staircase to the next level down, or it's game over. In this game, it's not about your strength or your dexterity. It's about your followers, your views. Your clout. It's about building an audience and killing those goblins with style.

You can't just survive here. You gotta survive big.

You gotta fight with vigor, with excitement. You gotta make them stand up and cheer. And if you do have that "it" factor, you may just find yourself with a following. That's the only way to truly survive in this game - with the help of the loot boxes dropped upon you by the generous benefactors watching from across the galaxy.

They call it Dungeon Crawler World. But for Carl, it's anything but a game.

Awesome book made better by narration

The book was awesome and I really enjoyed it! Having a team of narrators working on this made a huge improvement to this book. I have heard a few performances from soundbooth and this is a huge boost in quality.

As entertaining as it is funny..

the story and formats is much better than the cover. while the cover makes more sense after reading the story, the cover to tracks from what was surprisingly fresh and entertaining. I look forward to the next chapter in The adventures of Carl and princess donut.

Fantastic!

Read the first book originally on RoyalRoad. After the first part was taken down so it could be published, I knew I had to listen to the audio version.

If you're looking for part two, but it hasn't been published and monetized yet, check out the author's serialized series "Dungeon Crawler Carl" on the website RoyalRoad.

Best Lit Rpg I have ever heard

Might be the best Lit Rpg available, definitely worth a credit. Just finishing the third book now and I can’t wait for the rest to come out.

Running man meets Borderlands

Amazing book, best narrator I've heard. It's crazy, and hilarious. A must listen to audio book.

Listened to it multiple times

I love this series, I’ve listened to it multiple times and it still makes me smile in amusement with the ridiculous events. I hope this series lasts forever

So ridiculous that it was good.

Listening to this reminded me of watching "The Fifth Element" for the first time. My response was "that was weird. I think I liked it." Same with this story.

The narrator did an incredible job. My only issue is that the nature of the book required a bit of explanation that slowed down the pacing of the book as the audience learns the conventions about how to communicate the essential details. But as the story progresses it becomes less important and the pacing improves.

The sequel is a notch better. That's a good sign to keep up with this series.

Oddly addicting

Binged it. Started part 2 immediately. It's like listening to an action rpg. The writing is pretty good and the performance is great.
