Publisher's Summary
Finding Don Gordoni is a nonfiction story which takes place before, during, and after World War II. It chronicles the lives of the Gordoni family: Don, his parents, and his two brothers - from birth to death. His mother Lilla owned and operated a successful talent agency in Chicago during the '30s and '40s.
Don had the lead role in the radio program Jack Armstrong the All-American Boy during radio's golden age. All three Gordoni brothers served concurrently during WW2 as radio operators on B17s, B24s, and B29s, but only one of them came out of the conflict alive. My father watched from his tail gunner position as Don's plane was hit and crashed into the sea leaving only one survivor.
