On the back of a recent break up and her mom's shocking news, Anna wasn't looking for love, but it found her.

Lauren Vincenti comes from wealth. Her family has owned their famous vineyard in Corsica for generations, and they have a personal reputation to protect. Married to Rachel, she lives and works in London as a lawyer. That is, until her father commits suicide, and she is required to play her part in the family business.

Anna is an up-and-coming artist, following in her highly successful mother's footsteps. Her chance meeting with the seductive Vincenti, and their spontaneous dinner together, changes her life forever. Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Can she ever trust again, and what happens when she does?

Narrator is AWFUL

I couldn't get past 5 minutes before I had to shut it off. The narrators voice is awful and monotoned! I was interested in this story but Ill have to read it myself instead. Disappointed I couldn't enjoy this for my commute.

The narration killed me

I couldn’t get 10 minutes into this story without having to turn it off. The narrator was so mono toned and just awful to listen to.
I can’t speak on the story because I didn’t listen but had to rate in to get the review posted.

A Magical Series - Book 1

Anna broke up with her girlfriend when she cheated on her. Now she’s dealing with her mother’s health crisis. A rising star as an artist she has a chance meeting with Lauren Vincenti. Over dinner their immediate attraction is enchanting and they are drawn to each other. Can you love someone on first glimpse? A haunting start to a wonderful series. Perfect performance. Recommend series.

Robot Narration

The narration was the worst I have heard. The story was okay but listening to the bot made it difficult to get through the book.

Ouch! Don’t recommend this painful listen

Bland narration, fake sounding accents that don’t even match within family members. Why didn’t the more accurate (poor) reviews show till after I’d wasted a credit on this drivel? Returning for credit now.

Not believable, horrible narration.

This is 6 hours of my life I will never get back. I tried to listen to the entire book but I could only stomach 6 hours. I would rather have a root canal then listen to another minute of this. (I'm probably over exaggerating, but you get the point.) First, the story is very juvenile and hardly believable. The two main characters fall madly in love with each other at first sight. They are saying I love you to each other on their very first date. There is absolutely no meaningful conflict in this story at all and everyone knows that conflict is what makes a story like this interesting. Second, the narration is terrible. Her voice is very bland with little inflection. The character voices sound very similar and was hard to follow. Also, the narration of the intimate scenes was hilarious. I found myself groaning and laughing out loud during those moments. I am not sure if it was totally the narrators fault because the writing of these scenes was equally as bad. I am mad that I wasted my money on this. Hopefully you won't do the same.

Good! Don't be put-off by the initial narration!

I really loved the story, but I initially had to fight the urge to simply stop listening! My opinion of the narration from the onset was that it was all read at the same speed & tone; it totally lacked in variation of pace & had no ebb & flow based on the feelings being expressed.
I'm not sure when the shift took place, but I recall thinking at some point that the narrator was doing a great job with the different accents & timbre of voices.
I may have just gotten used to the narration style or I may have been swept up by the storyline. Nonetheless, do give it a chance - it's a great story!

Shocking

I truly was worried that I would be left hanging with this one, but you shocked me enough to make me cry.

The narration

I don't usually return a book unfinished, but I was unable to follow the monotone narration, so I decided to skip this. Narrating a book is more than just reading the words out loud, and sadly, that was all this was. I was curious about the story, but not in this format.

Dreams do come true.

Anna, wanted to feel free of her past. What your cheating fell through, and you want me back? You can read the book and see what happened. I really enjoyed it. Off to my next adventure.
