In "Murder at the Mousetrap," the first Bunburry book, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. Alfie McAlister has retreated from London to the peace and quiet of the country to recover from a personal tragedy. But an accidental death - which may have been no accident - reveals that the heart of England is far from the tranquil backwater he imagined.

Chipstone is about the sleepiest town you could have the misfortune to meet. But then, from the edge of a quarry, through the driving rain, Eleanor is shocked to see a man shot and killed in the distance. Description
Handpicked by Rhys Bowen, Jasmine Blackborow is the dazzling narrator for the 12th installment of Rhys Bowen's best-selling Royal Spyness Mystery series.
Georgie, or Lady Georgiana Rannoch, is busy planning her upcoming nuptials to Darcy O'Mara. Unfortunately, what has started as a simple wedding has become quite a royal headache and grand affair, thanks to a guest list that includes the queen and the appointment of princesses as Georgie's bridesmaids. “If only Darcy and I had eloped!” she thinks, as she attempts to organize her wedding and find a place for her and her husband-to-be to live.
Just as she despairs of ever finding a home, her godfather offers his fully staffed country estate. With Darcy off in parts unknown, Georgie makes her way to Eynsleigh alone, only to find the grounds in disarray, and the small staff suspiciously incompetent. Not to mention the gas tap leak in her bedroom, which is beginning to look like an attempt on her life. Something sinister is afoot - and bringing the place up to snuff may put Georgie six feet under before she even gets a chance to walk down the aisle....

Not as good as the others
The narrator did admirably but there will still be comparisons to the great Katherine Kellgren.
Found the story flat this time around

Fun and silly
An outing with Georgie is always great fun although I will say there were many eye rolls on my part on Georgiana’s dimness at times. But I thoroughly enjoyed and wait with anticipation for the next one.

New Narrator
This narrator is a great improvement over the previous one whose "Irish accent" was so bad I had given up on the audio books.

The book was a good continuation of the Royal Spyness series. Not as engaging as the earlier books, but still very entertaining.

Jasmine has done a beautiful job
listened to this book and I put off reading it for a good year.
Let me preface by saying Katherine Kellgren is one of the most talented voice narrators of all time. She truly brought the 'Her Royal Spyness" to life in an incredible way. Rhys Bowen's dedication to her said it all.
Jasmine Blackborrow had enormous boots to fill. It took me about an hour to NOT hear Katherine's voice reading the many fun characters but after that . . . Jasmine did an AMAZING job!
This book was really fun and I am so happy to have Lady Georgie and Darcy back in my listening life.

Wonderfully done
The choice of Jasmine to replace Katherine Kellgrin was perfect. Although I was greatly saddened when this book started explaining of Katherine's death, Jasmine did not disappoint! Great story, Great Narrator! Can't wait to grab the next book!!

Lovely as always
I was nervous about a new narrator but Jasmine does a lovely job. I was also starting to feel a little nervous about how many stories we could get from Georgie but I’m happy to admit that I really enjoyed this book. I’m hoping Rhys will come out with a new one soon. #audible1
