Publisher's Summary

Mystic Caravan Circus is heading for the Midwest...and their first stop is Michigan. Hemlock Cove, to be exact. Poet Parker is looking forward to what she believes will be a quiet time. Hemlock Cove isn’t big, after all, and Mystic Caravan is essentially serving as the centerpiece for a paranormal festival in a town where everyone pretends to be witches. There’s just one problem...real witches are afoot, and they’re unbelievably powerful.

When a body drops close to the circus grounds, Poet finds herself facing off with local law enforcement, the town’s only reporter, and an elderly witch who is set in her ways...and knows exactly how she’s going to do things no matter who agrees with her or not.

Yes, Poet is about to interact with the Winchester witches, and who comes out on top is anybody’s guess. The only thing both factions know is that they have to work together to uncover a killer and keep their true natures under wraps. That’s easier said than done, especially when Nellie and Aunt Tillie join forces and decided to take control of the situation.

It’s a battle for supremacy, with Mystic Caravan in one corner and the Wicked Witches of the Midwest in the other. Both sides are going to come out swinging...and cursing.

Place your bets.

It's Good

Storyline is fine, but Cade has become the whinest man in the world. While I get he's dealing with stuff, the constant clingy whining was annoying. I haven't read the other books that include the Winchester witches, but I may just to learn more. Gotta say I love Nelly the cross dressing dwarf ;)

Freaky Witches

Has to be the worst narration I have heard in an Amanda M Lee book! Seriously hard to listen to! the narrator needs to realize a Midwest accent from a southern accent. If they listened to any of the Winchester series before this one Landon and Bay are not simpletons! Research before reading please

Narration ruined the story

the narrator does not know how to pronounce many words. She also makes Bay and Landon sound really dumb, she makes them speak really slowly. It's almost as if they are stoned.
I loved the fun that Tillie and Nellie had. I liked seeing the Winchesters and their home thru the eyes of the Mystic Caravan. I probably should have read this book instead of listened to it.

Circus and witches

This was such a fun book to listen to. After having already listened to all the Witches of the Midwest books it was fun to have them interact.

the series rocks!

so far I have listened to the first seven books of this series, at first I wasn't too sure about it but it grew on me. there is a lot of whining and digging at each other but other than that the storylines are great. the narrator does an exceptional job on the characters, their voices are very distinctive. there might have been an issue or two in the series but I'm not going to get into that but I really like the series.

My Favorite Series Combined

This is a fun crossover and shows us the Winchester Witches from the Circus’s viewpoint. Tillie is in fine form as usual and Nelly’s crush in her is hilarious. 😚

something's a little off this go...

i usually rate these books 5⭐s all the way around, and ms Kelly does a great job with the Mystic Caravan series. however, her renditions of Landon and Bay leave a lot to be desired. esp Landon. he sounds like a witless hillbilly. Bay sounds like a morose hipster who only knows how to speak in a monotone. even Chief Terry sounds like he's perpetually hangry. as far as crossovers go, this one would be much better done by ms McCarthy. heck, Angel Clark would be preferred...
