Didn't realize there were abridged versions

I thought this was shorter than I remembered and then when looking up book 2 I realized I'd downloaded the abridged version. Narrator isn't awful, but I struggle to rectify her with the image of Anita that ai have in my head.

As usual LKH writes smashingly good plots.
