Publisher's Summary

The world teeters on the brink of destruction.

The people who should be saving the Earth ignore Jason Asano's warnings and choose to loot the house as it burns down around them. He lacks the strength to save the world himself, but resolves to do it anyway, impossible be damned.

The impossible, in this case, means seizing a power that no mortal should touch. It's a choice from which there is no turning back, and marks Jason's first step into a wider cosmos that he is not yet ready to face.

Holding the fate of two worlds in his hands, Jason must decide for himself what home truly means.

Series is getting worse.

Books 5 and 6 pale in comparison to books 1-3. the storyline has become boring and frustrating.

The ending made me yell out loud

I've been waiting months for this book and it didn't disappoint. I just wish it was longer so I could enjoy more of it! It nicely tied off the events of the last couple books and set up the next ark perfectly. Can't wait for book 7!

More Complicated Astral Explanations

More of the same from books 4-6… At the end of the book, the author explains that those 3 books were part of the 2nd sequence (1-3 being the first). But I feel like those 3 books could’ve been just one and be done with it. I guess there was a bit more fighting but at some points I just didn’t understand what was going on.

this series is a dumpster fire now

go back to book 1-3.

complete garbage.

I stopped listening after I think 10-20 chapters. I can't take how bad the author ruined such a good series. so I looked up if it gets better and it only gets worse.

so disappointed I wasted my money on these after book 3.

a nice Segway into the next chapter of the series

although this book did have luls at time (early on especially) I quite enjoyed the ending and how it wrapped everything up for this trio of books (4-6). the epilogue was done very well also and I'm looking forward to getting into the next one

lengthy gloomy storyline

the Astral chapters were longer than necessary and gloomy. i could have done with less. if this had been book 1, I'm not sure i would have been hooked on the series. but there were redeeming features and the epilogs were good.
