Publisher's Summary

Juniper

After a cult tried to sacrifice me to their wicked God, I went on the run, doing whatever was necessary to survive. Until a demon offered me a deal: give him my soul and he'll help me claim the vengeance I seek. Blood will be spilled, and the monsters I once ran from will soon be running from me. But damning my soul was just the beginning; it's my heart the demon wants next.

Zane

I've been hunting souls for centuries, but she's the ultimate prize. Vicious and feral, she has a broken soul as dark as my own. I thought claiming her would be a simple game, but Juniper is far from simple. I chose to follow her on a path drenched with the blood of her enemies, but it's our blood that may be spilled next. As an ancient God wakes from Its slumber, neither of us may survive.

Her Soul for Revenge is book two in the Souls Trilogy but can be listened to as a standalone. It contains sexual scenes including kink/fetish content, horror elements, drug use, scenes of trauma, anxiety, and PTSD.

Narrator is as spicy as the story itself 🥵

This series is one of my favourite. This book hooked me in immediately, despite it being /technically/ the same story as last. But oh gosh!! Zane and Juniper just became my fave couple and this story was amazing to listen to. Can't wait to listen to the next!!

Contains Spoilers for Book 1 and Possibly Book 3?

I really liked this book far more in comparison to the first one. These can be read as standalones as mentioned in the description, however if you read either or first, I don’t think there’s a point in reading/listening to the other. It was a little frustrating because I genuinely liked this book. Juniper is a much more fleshed out character in comparison to Rae, who thinks she’s super badass and brave but keeps doing stupid sh!t, and needs to be rescued.

Zane’s interest in Juniper after their first interaction and with the passing of time. How he’s been keeping tabs on her over the years and falling for her makes more sense than Leon becoming obsessed with Rae after he just met her.

Now I wouldn’t usually compare books like this especially if they were standardalones but they are also not? I had already knew everything that was going to happen because Her Soul to Take tells you literally E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!

Juniper is alive
She sold her soul to Zane
Zane is in love with Juniper
Juniper gets her revenge by killing the Hadley’s

This is all literally in Her Soul go Take, and if I had to guess the 3rd book is going to be about Callum and Everly. We probably already know most of what’s going on between them with the exception of if they succeed in their final goal of killing the deep one.

I liked the idea of the characters being interconnected. I just wish the stories weren’t of the same events but in different prospectives.

I can’t say I regretted using a credit on this one but I kind of feel that way now for Her Soul to Take.

As for the smut, it’s pretty much the same imo. Zane and Leon might as well be the same person.
