i couldn't get past the useless chatter at the
I was offended, two women kept repeating that men can't handle women sexuality at the intro. And women don't get jealous apparently, just men.

Thoroughly enjoyable!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of short stories. They all left room for thought and dynamic discussion. Thank you Audible!

Runs a nice gamut of creepy
Great series, listened to all 6 episodes in near succession as could not stop! Favorites were the Purcell and Braithwaite tales, but all were very good.

Some are good, some not so GOOD
I really liked some of the stories, the scolds bridle was one of my favorite ones, along with the story by Laura Purcell. Purcell never disappoints. Sarah Moss's story was not good at all and read like a textbook, she should stick to fantasy. Also I couldn't even finish listening to Kahn's story. I love the historical aspects at the start of each story telling about a historical object they based the story around. However, I do always think there is different prospectives to history and the accounts of the objects are 1 sided. As a woman I appreciate the amount of women authors, and the information on the torture and shame women suffered in the past. Overall, these are good stories mixed in with a few I didn't like.

Wonderfully Dark
Laura Purcell is one of my favorite authors. Thrilled to hear her story and discover some new authors to binge read, Might make a Vanitas of my own.
