Makes sense. I hope to implement.
Surprisingly obvious advise, but at the same time not. I know that I cross the line from consequences to punishment very easily mostly because I cannot relate to the behavior that causes the issue. At the very least I can try to understand the feelings behind the transgression before acting.

Everyone who interacts with children should read this at least once.
I truly believe each person who is or will ever be around kids should read this. Not only is it a practical and helpful toolbox for how to talk with kids, it helps the listener realize, address and even heal patterns and lack of communication from our their own childhood. It is a great read or listen on practical communication skills that work on any age, but especially children. This is one I will review at least once per year as I parent my own children. I find Ive learned so much and it reviewed skills I had forgotten about or pushed aside as my children grew from toddlers to big kids. Whether you struggle with children or not, there is something useful for everyone inside this book. 10/10 continue to recommend!

One of the best parenting book out there!
The fact that it was published many decades ago and is still extremely popular is a testament to its timelessness and multicultural core values.

Must listen for parents
I’m recommending this book to all my friends with and without kids. The book gives great parenting strategies and teaches you some concrete skills. I think these listening and communication strategies could carry over to any relationship. My only wish is that I’d read this book sooner! My boys are now 9 and 6, still lots of time to implement my new skills.

I really wish I can go to your place right now just to tell you how much I've enjoyed this gift of a book. I am gifting it to as many friends as possible and will continue to do so. Thank you Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish, I am excited to listen to more of your books. My four year old loves me. He LOVES me. I can't believe it, I'm in shock, I can cry. I'm giving it my New York Times Best Seller by Delilah must read sticker.

A must 'Listen' for every parent out there!
This book was amazing!
Content: A+, not only do you get things explained, but you also get instructions and practical tips and guidance into how to deal with different situations
Insight: A++, I almost felt like a jerk after going through this, once I changed my behavior my son's behavior did a 180 as well, I was amazed!
Performance: A+++ I tell everyone, the book is maybe a good read, but the Audio, what I can say? AMAZING performance, the acting is real, the kiddie voices and the situations are just so fun and funny, this is one of the very few books where the Audio is far superior to the original book
