Story
In his 17 years as a Formula 1 driver, Jenson Button has picked up a thing or two about how to do the job properly. Sure, you need to be able to drive a car fast - and Jenson is on hand to pass on a few tricks of the trade here - but you also need to know the real rules for making it to the top. Like, how to tell a multiple F1 champion they need to check their blind spot. What the difference is between a helmet and a hat, and indeed a 'helmet-hat'. How to practise your champagne spray ahead of the big day.

Millions of words have poured forth about man's trip to the moon, but until now few people have had a sense of the most engrossing side of the adventure; namely, what went on in the minds of the astronauts themselves - in space, on the moon, and even during certain odysseys on earth. It is this, the inner life of the astronauts, that Tom Wolfe describes with his almost uncanny empathetic powers that made The Right Stuff a classic.

Story
Niki Lauda drove a car for sport, but crossed the line between life and death and fought back to even greater glory. Even people who know nothing of Formula One have heard of his crash at Nurburgring in 1976, when he was dragged from the inferno of his Ferrari so badly injured he was given the last rites. Within 33 days, he was racing again at Monza. His wounds bled; he had no eyelids. He was terrified. A year later, he reclaimed his World Championship title.

Publisher's Summary
The full-length, in-depth and intimate autobiography from Jenson Button, one of Britain's greatest ever racing drivers.
Jenson Button is one of the finest racing drivers of his generation. His 17 years in Formula One have seen him experience everything the sport has to offer, from nursing duff cars round the track to winning world championships and everything in between. Here, Jenson tells his full story for the first time in his own honest, intelligent and eloquent style - from growing up as part of a motor-racing-mad family under the guidance of his father, John, to arriving at Williams as a fresh-faced 20-year-old to being written off as a playboy, distracted by the luxurious trappings of his lifestyle, and his fight back to the very pinnacle of his sport.
Jenson's world championship victory for the unsponsored and unfancied Brawn GP team is one of the most extraordinary against-the-odds sports stories of the century. Jenson's book lifts the lid on the gilded and often hidden world of Formula One. He reveals his relationships with some of the biggest names in the sport - Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso - as well some of the most colourful characters, such as Bernie Ecclestone, Ron Dennis, Frank Williams and serial winner Ross Brawn.
Above all he puts you right inside the cockpit, in the driving seat, travelling at over 200 miles per hour, battling the fear of death, showing you what happens when it goes wrong at high speed and allowing you to experience the euphoria of crossing the line first.

A fantastic and candid autobiography by one of the best and classiest F1 Champions. JB's story includes his childhood, introduction to racing and path to F1, his racecraft and the technical side of racing, the teams and teammates he raced with each season, the close relationship he had with his father, and much more. A must-read for all race fans.

One of the best autobiographies in the sport
I try to consume every autobiography by any of the great drivers and engineering/technical people in motorsport. I finished this book a while ago but never got around to reviewing it. This is a must read for anyone who followed JB in F1 or for anyone interested in motorsports. While there are several driver autobiographies out there, JB tells his story in a manner that is uniquely his own and in a way that makes it hard to tear yourself away. The story has great flow and keeps you thoroughly engaged. It is well edited so that the story is concise but with enough detail to keep you riveted. Nicely done!
