Publisher's Summary

From featured "next-generation thought leader" on Oprah Winfrey's Super Soul 100 and number one New York Times best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein comes a clear, proactive, step-by-step program to rid yourself of the tendency to judge yourself and others and to find your way back to true healing and oneness.

Judgment - both being judged and judging others - is the core of our discomfort. While it's powerful, judgment isn't complicated. It's simply the separation from oneness. The moment we see ourselves as separate, we detour into a false belief system that is out of alignment with our true nature. That separation, often a reflection of our own insecurities projected onto others, keeps us feeling alienated and alone.

The Judgment Detox is an interactive process that calls on spiritual principles from the text A Course in Miracles, Kundalini yoga, meditation, EFT, and metaphysical teachings, allowing us to release the beliefs that hold us back from living a better life. Gabby has demystified these principles to make them easy to apply and commit to.

The six steps include:

  • Witness your judgment without judgment
  • Honor the wound
  • Put love on the altar
  • See for the first time
  • Cut the cords
  • Bring your shadows to light

This step-by-step process offers a path to true healing, oneness, and a deeper connection to the universe and those around us.

Good focus, but repetitive

I found I got a lot out of Gabrielle's "The Universe Has Your Back", but I'm finding I can't finish listening to the Judgement Detox right now because it feels so repetitive. I support Gabrielle's intention with this book, but I'd recommend her previous book to a friend first.

what I didnt want to admit I needed.

i loved every minute of it. I recognized myself so many times. I thought i had overcome judgment but I realized I had missed so many key steps i was free and am freeing myself daily from things I was too proud to admit were still an issue for me. I highly recommend you read it. ESPECIALLY if you think you are not a judgmental person.

Not a huge fan

I love the universe has your back, but wasn't crazy about this book, I returned it half-way. Her voice is a bit monotone and made me sleepy. The messaging was not super empowering to me. Overall not my favorite book by Gabs.

Marketing.

I love Gabrielle Bernstein but lately it feels like a lot of her work and content is just more promotion to sell other items of hers, like the judgement detox notebook and extras. I wasn’t able to finish this one and it wasn’t for me to be honest. I’m sure it was helpful to someone else in a different part of their life journey.

Gabby Bernstein's Breakthrough

This book is a Triumph for Gabrielle Bernstein and, in turn, if you devote yourself to the practices she offers, it will be a Triumph for you.

The book, her writing, and her reading in the audio version are inspired and world-opening. It will change your life, even if you aren't sure about opening your mind to it, you will suddenly see your world differently. I haven't even consistently practiced anything in this book yet (I usually "speed-through" once, then go back to dig deep), and my mind, spirit, and life have already shifted in miraculous ways.

Her performance in the audio book is the most serene and loving performance I have heard from her yet. What a glorious resource for anyone who needs comforting, empowering, long-lasting relief in their life.

You and the world, both, need and deserve more love. This book will open you up to access it consistently and with ease.

Judgement Detox

I probably will never meet Gabrielle in person but she’s a spiritual angel from God. She’s all kinds of awakened levels of deep but in a duh I get it way.

I would recommend this book to everyone we all need a judgement detox. It’s cool that she does the audio for her books that just brings it to life.

I have all of her books I’ve gone deeper in my practice because of her being used by Spirit. This girl is ‘A Bad Mama Jama’

Disappointed

I looooved, LOVED, “The universe has your back,” the story and performance. I had high expectation for this one. I finished that audio in a book. It’s what got me to subscribe to audible.

I’ve had THIS book for a month....and I haven’t even gone through 50% of it. I have a 2 hour commute a day. The performance and narrative is beyond boring. I won’t be able to finish it.

Couldn't finish listening..

I only got about 1/2 way they the audio, & just couldn't continue. If I heard her say one more time "i forgive myself for judging myself for being judgemental.." or "I forgive myself for judging myself for judging"..
as someone who calls themself a teacher on A Course In Miracles, the book seemed geared toward New Age secular yoga-type millennial females who take their own thoughts/judgements too seriously & expect to be happy all the time.
This was my first book by this author.
I'm now curious about her other books, & wonder if the others are just as cheesy & spiritually sophomoric..
Perhaps the fact the author narrates the bk w/ such solid confidence as if she's reading sacred scripture contributed to my intolerance to keep hearing of things that are not profound at all. "I'm gonna stop judging myself for judging myself." Is a pretty crazy loop.

if you've read A return to Love

then you've already read this book. This author copied that book. not word for word, but it's the same in theory. I wasted my money on this.

A narcissistic self proclaimed “spiritual teacher”

If you ever want to hear a painful example of what a spiritual teacher is not - listen to as much of this cringeworthy book as you can get through before returning it for a refund. This woman spends a solid quarter of the book with unnecessary stories self adulation... she spends more time referring to her own perceived status as a “spiritual teacher” ....listing her resume.. telling stories of random people complimenting her “spiritual advice”... than she actually spends time giving the advice. A real wise teacher like Eckhardt Tolle is so humble he only refers to his label as a spiritual teacher maybe once or twice, And always it is with the humble self deprecating wisdom of someone who doesn’t believe in his own hype. Gabrielle practically uses this book as a thinly veiled tool for her own ego Stroking. This woman basically just read other source material and cherry picked some basic obvious truths... Her advice is kindergarten level spiritual advice. It seems likely that she has achieved some level is success because of the general Dumbing down of society... and maybe because she looks like a cheerleader and can reach an untapped part Of the shallower end of the seeker pool)... as George bush was to politics, this author is to actual spiritual principles. It’s all fluff and surface and oblivious narcissism. There are a few common sense nuggets of truth in the book, but nothing that she didn’t rip off straight from some other real teacher or text. Don’t waste your time or money. And don’t worry, the irony of judging a book about not judging is not lost on me. People need to be warned not to waste their time.

Another amazing book by Gabby Bernstein

I've struggled with judgment for as long as remember. Not only judgment of others and judgment of myself, but feeling judged by others.

The steps in this book have helped me to release not only the judgments I held for myself and others but also to stop believing in the judgments I feel from others.

I love going through the steps when I feel myself getting ready to judge or in the judgment and I also love to see through the lens of love when I feel judgment from others.

The exercises in the book are so key in integrating the principles. I also loved that Gabby created a journal to facilitate completion of the exercises. It was laid out beautifully, and I loved that it had extra space for free writing outside of the exercises.

I can tell that this is another book of Gabby's that I will be revisiting and going through as needs arise. I will also share the messages in it with others. Thank you for allowing God to use you to produce this amazing work, Gabby.

well...mhh

I don't understand how this content could make it into a book...I loved Gaby's previous book "the Universe has your back" which I plan to re-read several times in the upcoming years but "the judgement detox"...I don't know...feels like there is nothing valuable for the reader, apart from things already heard God-knows-how-many-time.
hope it's just my opinion though, and that others will find sth valuable in it. specially if it's the first book written by her that you're reading because be assured that she wrote others much more worthy of your time, I promise.
