Publisher's Summary

As Father Magnus Falke, I suppress my cravings. As the headteacher of a Catholic boarding school, I’m never tempted by a student. Until her…

I became a priest to control my impulses.

Then I meet Tinsley Constantine.

The bratty princess challenges my rules and awakens my dark nature. With each punishment I lash upon her, I want more. In my classroom, private rectory, and bent over my altar, I want all of her. There’s no absolution for the things I’ve done.

One touch risks everything I stand for. My faith. My redemption. And even my life.

As if that could stop me. I need her pain, and her heart, and she needs my lessons in sin.

WOW!! Just WOW!!

Oh my gosh! Where to being! Father Magnus is literally my wet dream! He's that nice combination of morally grey and passionately sweet that we all secretly crave. I wasn't a huge fan of the female narrator. Every spicy scene that she narrated felt awkward and her male voice was just awful. That being said, I'm a HUGE fan of J. Tipstone and, like every other book he narrates, he didn't let me down. There was a moment in it that I teared up a bit, where you could just feel the pain, but it made the book even better. Despite the horrible female narration, I would still recommend.

Lessons in Sin - Pam Godwin

I’d recommend this to anyone who loves age-gap romances with deeply disturbed MMCs and sharp tongued, witty FMC.

Okay, it’s official I do not like high school romances. ESPECIALLY age-gap ones. I chose to listen to this through Audible and honestly, the audiobook is amazing. The cast does a great job switching between “feminine” and “masculine” voices. I find sometimes I can’t get past how terrible they sound reading each other parts but it was great. My one issue with the audiobook was that the voice actor for Magnus seemed to be an odd choice. His voice was a little bit too old and deep for how I imagined Magnus. I thought Magnus would be in the late 30s to 40s and the voice actor sounded like he was an 80-year-old man. Like I was listening to The Giver talk. (Hopefully, someone gets that) Now for the story….uhm no. I’m sorry but I didn’t enjoy it. I felt like once I reached the part where they started to like each other I was lost. Magnus is the most disgusting and vile man. He is beyond morally grey to me. And his flat-out grooming and assault on her is not for me. I like dark and nasty but to me, I couldn’t be convinced he had anything redeemable. Even his love for her was tainted. There is a scene late in the book which in my opinion becomes SA and it's graphic, he basically says “I know you’ll like it so I’m not stopping or asking if this is okay”. Just not the Vibez. Okay, now we have to talk about the piss kink I’m convinced Pam Godwin has. I’ve only read two of her books and in BOTH of them the FMC pees herself because of the MMC and he eggs the whole thing on. So that happens and I’m like cool okay this will be WILD. Then the tampon scene happens. WHAT IN THE EDWARD CULLEN WAS THAT! I really don’t want to spoil anything but seriously I need to talk to someone about this. Magnus is the most ridiculous excuse for a priest. To me, in one word this story felt ridiculous and icky. It was extremely entertaining because I couldn’t even grasp this whole world and love story. I can’t totally hate it because it made me laugh and I was seriously entertained but I don’t think it was for the right reasons. I look forward to trying more Pam Godwin but will be staying far away from high school-age romances!

Best book of 2023

Pam Godwin is brilliant. It’s that simple. She takes a topic that is still taboo for 2023 and weaves exceptional prose in between. This book is stunning. And hot as hell!!
