Publisher's Summary

Vincent survived the ten-items-or-less lane at his favorite grocer with more than ten items only to get flattened by a car in the parking lot. As his body laid on the asphalt, his soul rose above, accompanied by all of his supermarket items, each item triggering an embarrassing memory from his downtrodden life.

Quirky and Hilarious

LIFE IN A SUPERMARKET BASKET is one of the books in author Michael Evanichko's "Trilogy of Life" series.

It's a quirky little book about a man named Vincent, who, after a tragic mishap in a grocery store parking lot, is treated to a slideshow of his life, prompted by the items he purchased in his shopping basket. Such a great premise!

Throughout the novel, we see Vincent in all his vulnerable glory, from being invited to listen to his interior stream-of-consciousness thoughts, mistakes, regrets, etc. The embarrassing memories are cringe-worthy but oh-so hilarious! But funny aside, some moments hit you right in the feels.

It's a relatable story that will stick with me for a long time. I listened to the audiobook, which is narrated by the author, and his understated style perfectly captures "The Essence of Vincent."

I have read Life in a Neon Knapsack, and I look forward to reading Life in a Savage Landfill to complete the trilogy.

Five big stars.
