I’ve been a fan of the Black Dagger Series from the beginning, but I have to say my fascination is over. That disappointment started with Lassiter and continues. I wanted to read this particular book because it involves characters I’ve particularly liked. And I wanted to see what they were like when they grew up. Still, it all feels formulaic at this point so even though I can feel another book about LW might be coming, I think I”ll say good bye.

I liked this novel much more than expected to. Lyric's story played out much like expected, but there were enough twists and callbacks to previous books that it held my interest.

Once again Frangione is the voice of the BDB novels, and I couldn't imagine it any other way! JR Ward better get us LW's story before long... we are ready for the heir to the throne to rise.
