Compared to the first book, this one left a lot to be desired.

It suffers from a WHOLE lot of "telling and now showing". There are time skips left and right in the first half of the book, where days/weeks/months go by while characters lives go by. The power levels also start to reach absurd levels, so I'm not sure how that's going to continue going forward.

Overall, it's still a decent book, but not nearly as good as the first.

Immaculate voice acting with crazy good world building that just makes sense. There was just a bit of pacing problems near the climax where so many things were happening it was hard to follow. Good story overall and worth the credit.

Wish i could put myself in a coffin and sleep till the third book.Maaaan if your gonna make the books THIS good, please don't make me wait another 3 years for the next one.Ill probably have a kid by then, and while I'll sympathize more with Vincent I definitely won't have the time to Read it haha.

Fantastic. Just as good, if not better than the first.

I absolutely loved the first book. It had such great characters, an engaging story, and fantastic humour. This one was a massive let down compared to that.

The first half is outright bad, the literary equivalent of level grinding, which isn’t fun when doing it and even worse when listening to it.

The second half got better with the introduction of an actual plot, but I almost didn’t make it that far.
