Publisher's Summary

The Fool has been hunted. But he must become the hunter.

Accompanying an expedition of wizards, Alex has proved himself against the dangers of Greymoor, calling upon summoned servants to defeat the Ravener’s hunters. But with the death of his pursuers, no answers are apparent, only more questions.

And now Alex, the Heroes, his cabal, and the mighty Baelin seek answers in the ancient Crymlyn swamp, which the Sage of Thameland calls home.

But other eyes also watch the Crymlyn. Evil eyes. Demonic eyes.

And the Ravener is far from done with Alex.

For it has yet to call upon its more powerful servants....

Book five of the best-selling series. Continue your fantastical journey into a coming of age magic academy fantasy with a weak-to-strong progression into power, deepening mystery, a setting inspired by D&D, detailed world building and magical science, action, comedy, slice-of-life, and GameLit elements.

It could be better

Its well written, but the problem is that everything goes to well. Its frustrating for the sake of the story that one guy saves literally everyone all the time (Baylin). It’s also redundant how Alex never properly loses. The golem never dies, nor do any of the friends. Its like nothing has any real impact. The story would be much more impactful if Carrie died, or Isalda

Excellent work yet again, finished it in a day lol

I’m already on the edge of my seat for the next book. Excellent all around, tons of high stakes engagements, silly hearing someone review that characters don’t die enough. Lots of people die. Sure main characters don’t die in every story but this book hardly lacks in the death department. It’s good stuff for sure. And the greatest to ever speak was perfection in narration as usual.
