Publisher's Summary

Winner of 2022 Earphones Award, Science Fiction, AudioFile Magazine

A telekinetic assassin’s quest to avenge his parents’ murders triggers an all-out war between an eccentric cast of killers, from the New York Times and number one Audible.com best-selling duo Jeremy Robinson and R.C. Bray.

Jonas kills people...with his mind. He reaches out, focuses for a moment, and feels a snap of pain between his eyes. Then his target falls over dead: a hole in the center of their brains. The cause of death is unknown to all aside from Jonas, and his lone companion, Bubbles, a sarcastic AI with aspirations to be more human, or a serial killer. One of the two. Maybe both. Jonas calls his ability...mind bullet.

Sensing Jonas is lonely and depressed, Bubbles arranges for Madee, a Thai delivery woman by day and a thief by night, to enter his life. For a moment there are sparks. But chaos follows as the people Madee last robbed catch up to her. They also happen to be the Shrieking Ninjas. After surviving the assault, Jonas and Madee find themselves on the run with a $10 million hit called on Jonas.

Killers from all over the globe pursue the pair as they run for their lives, headlong into Jonas’ mysterious past, uncovering the surreal origins and extent of his abilities. They discover a dark and twisted history that threatens to unravel his mind and leave him susceptible to control. Working with Bubbles, Madee, and a growing list of new allies, Jonas battles his way through waves of assassins, some with abilities like his, all to protect the world from a recently discovered, untraceable weapon of mass destruction - himself.

Solid world-building

Solid action, well written characters with some laugh-out-loud moments, and R.C. Bray is on point, as usual.

Potential mild spoilers below

If you didn't know that Robinson is building a meta-universe, then you should check his website first, but this is a great addition that starts to fill in some gaps and tie-ins

I started from the bottom now I'm here.

I am an avid horror/thriller fan. Once upon a time I was directed to a Jeremy Robinson book: The Dark, based on my preferences. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and went on about my merry-scary way. After a few years I was having troubles finding books I enjoyed and started getting into more Sci-Fi listens...somewhere in those travels I found Infinite. LOVED IT. I took the long route in understanding that there were books between Infinite and Infinite 2, I like to read books of a series so skipped to part 2 and realized while listening that there were stories abound in between. Since this discovery I have solidly emerged myself in the thick of Jeremy Robinson's books, including the re-listen of "The Dark" in it's proper order, and anxiously awaiting the tie-in books to come involving current characters. In short: I am obsessed in the best way possible (if I may identify it as such). ALSO - R.C Bray; I don't think I have to mention how great he is - I have been a fan since reading his narration with the Mountain Man series. All in all this is a bundle of the best things with all the best people. Just be prepared to use up those credits and get carried away with more, because you won't want to wait.

Another Great Book BY JR an RCB!!!

great book by JR, another one in his style but a stand alone story opening the genre up. He has an amazing idea for the future of his books that means I need to go back and get a few I've missed.
RC Bray did another amazing job, I've listened to almost enough of his books to be a stalker fan,and he makes every performance unique. RC Bray performancesintroduced me to Jeremy Robinson books and I'm glad they did!!!

Amazing!!

I've listened to almost everyone of his audiobooks and love them all, and while dark wasn't one of my top favs, this book here caught me by surprise, amazing characters ,funny and even emotional at points and makes me appreciate Dark so much more...I can't wait for Jeremy Robinsons new universe to come together thanks Jeremy for making me making my imagination run wild .

Where do you even start with this one…lol

I loved every moment of this book. Intellectual doozy? No. That’s not what I want though. I want this. Then more of this. It’s got killer backstory that slowly reveals itself, an amazing sidekick (haha), and slowly acquired friends for someone you really hope is good. Plus, powers! And another backstory. Not to mention action, action, action. There is so much packed into this one, it’s great. Along with Bray narrating, it can’t fail. So it might not be an intellectual doozy, but it gives jaw drops, incredible revelations and still thought provoking themes if you’re clever enough to pick up on them.

Not the best in this Universe, but...

This is still a compelling and interesting story. would highly recommend, but wouldn't rank as my favorite for sure.
