An Entire chapter about smiling - Seriously?!

This book seems like it was written for teenagers. The concepts are so basic and common sense it was insulting. I'll save you the time and money - Don't be an a-hole, smile at people and pretend you care - Your welcome ;)

Good book

Good book. It’s like an expanded version of Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. I enjoyed the stories. It strongly reinforces sales is a relationship business.

Jeff is changing my career

This is the 3rd book from Jeff that I read and his knowledge and delivery are very powerful and easy to understand. I’m getting better results because of it!

Good Content, Dull Performance

Having read and listened to a number of Jeb Blounts books I will admit that there is significant overlap in content if you fall into that same category. However, that is not to say that the content does not maintain its value. Jeb’s material always brings with it a sense of relevance and specific ideas for application, which I greater appreciate. “People Buy You” is no different. Read it, listen to it, digest it, but most importantly, apply it, and you will be better off for it.

That being said, and not to take away from the content itself, but I did find that the particular narration was dull and unexciting. His books are definitely better when he is the narrator. However, don’t let that dissuade you from the book; maybe just consider reading it yourself.

Repeat of other books of his

Don’t get me wrong, it definitely doesn’t hurt to hear things again. I was disappointed it wasn’t Jeb reading it, so that may have been my own fault.
Overall, I really love Jeb Blount’s books.

Jeb keeping it simple, but effective!

after reading this book I have two distinct goals. The first, to simply listen better. to listen with the intent to understand actually care about what's coming out of the person's mouth in front of me. The second, is to ask better follow-up questions to let the person know I'm listening and to get them to talk some more so I can listen even further.

Other than that, short book, tremendous amount of awesome content and I look forward to reading it several times more.

dry delivery good content

it has good content but the delivery is a little dry. Easy to turn off buy stay through it it is worth it.

Antiquated philosophy

I couldn’t finish it. About halfway in the biggest teachings were look good. Feel good and don’t be a jerk. Not worth my time to finish.
